LIES. when i get home from work tonight i'll post screens. an FC on charlene(i'm right behind you) without OD will NOT net enough points for a 5* on drums, however an FC with the optimal path will get you gold stars(1.5x the 5 star score, since you clearly dont know what these are) within the last few notes.

its also worth pointing out that pre-patch/pre-RB2 scoring, there were several songs that were impossible to achieve gold stars on even with the optimal OD path.

hell, why is everyone like GHAC will be at ATEI??? Last time I heard KONAMI speaking about it they did not even decide on how the game will look like (I mean what kind of features and stuff it will have....)

anyway, the scoring is the same for every instrument, so my point stands. i've never FCed it on guitar without OD(got the gold star FC with OD though) but i know it only has 186 notes which is slightly more than the drums so you might be able to 5* it with an FC.

Well, if you play as a band it's nearly impossible NOT to get 5 stars unless you've got the coordination of a 13 year old boy while he's got his door locked and his lights off and his blanket over his whole body.

Well, yesterday I was kinda bored sitting around doing nothing so I was posting like crazy. I wasn't trying to piss anyone off but I guess I did because my name showed up on the warnings and ban list. Well, since I've done most of my posting yesterday today it's sort of toned down. but it was only at -40 this morning, so I don't know how I got another -10. Sorry for being off topic.

EDIT: btw, playing with a sucky drummer and a girl who can only sing a quarter of the songs, we managed to get 5 stars on most of the songs we played (on all of the song lists).

I think the real reason he showed up on the warnings and ban list was some of his posts were a tad "spam-worthy" and there were a couple multi-month necroposts. From the looks of it, he's not doing it anymore. There, back on topic.

I prefer RB to GH, only because there is more to do and RB had the session concept (in America at least) before GH: World Tour (which is a rip off). I can play drums on medium and my cousin (who owns the game) can play guitar on expert. It was nice becuase he absolutely fails at drums and I could pick it up rather quickly (thanks to BEMANI )

I have a hard time with RB's drums.

I'm always reaching too high on the right side and there's like this invisible snare I keep reaching for it pisses me off.

Also, the bass kick is too subtle. So hard to play bass when it's hidden amidst everything else.

if youre talking about the same song i mentioned earlier(charlene) then i agree. if you're talking about, say, painkiller or visions, i'll have to disagree. the dreamtheatre song isnt exactly a walk in the park either. me and my brothers(me on guitar, one on bass, the other on drums, all expert) dont 5* everything because the one playing bass isnt that good. me and the drummer always gold star together though, so you would be surprised how much one player can lower the score.

nice comparison though, i giggled. oh, and for the record, i never negative rated you. i give 5s to people who deserve them, or nothing at all.
