DanceDanceRevolution X scheduled release this winter!

At the beginning of this year, there was "DDR Fan meetings" and "Official events", from Hokkaido in the north to Kagoshima in the south...in these gracious lands, I had the honor of giving performances. At those events, I heard "We want a new cabinet!"

Well, finally a new cabinet has been born and another DDR has been announced! This year is the tenth anniversary of DDR, and finally...a full model change!

REVOLUTION to EVOLUTION gives me sensations! But there's still more to come before the revolution is finished!

http://www.konami.jp/bemani/ddr/jp/am/ddrx/ (Arcade Machine)
http://www.konami.jp/bemani/ddr/jp/gs/ddrx/ (Console)

The music in this game is very committed. Evolution full throttle! You were very surprised when you heard this announcement, weren't you? Please look forward to the final version.

"Ready!?"
Oh guys, if HD resolution is supported, that would mean that DDRX will be released for PS3.

If it is, I could be on PS3. I'll be happy with a flat screen.Smile

It also sounds like this is the true next "step" (hehe, get it?) on DDR.Smile

I wish after DDR X released, there's no more SN style that have no BG and video BG. Just upgrade DDR Extreme 2 style become more beautiful and more interesting. After 10 years anniversary, Konami must make something wonderful for DDR.

Okay, seriously, can you stop complaining about the lack of bg's? That's all you ever complain about. Sure, they'd be great to have back, but graphics aren't that important in a rhythm-based game.

Is it me or do you see four directional buttons on each player and a select button and what's the bit in the middle?

As far as I'm concerned, the BGs can crawl in a corner and die. I don't like them. I don't need random garbage trying to distract me when I'm trying to play. I'd rather play at home with Stepmania and a dark still background, or go 10 miles farther to play on an ITG2 dedicab than play on the the extreme machine that's 3 blocks away.
If DDR X has the same idiotic note skins and deliberately distracting backgrounds, then I won't play it, except to hang out with other players, even if there's a dedicab 3 blocks away.
silenttype01: Kyzentun is never harsh. He says it how it is.

GENERATION 24: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.

Yeah it was pointed out last page. Puppy Face
It does seem interesting, and I'm guessing that the middle thing is probably the USB port.

And I'm pretty much indifferent about backgrounds.

That middle thing might be the USB slots.(ESG beat me to it.) As far as the other buttons go, I think you pick songs like in a home version, Hit up twice to go down from Heavy to Standard and so on.

Just a hunch.Smile

Ah, that's a good idea, considering how many people on a SuperNOVA in the UK ask HOW DO YOU MAKE IT HARDER?

Do you think e-amusement cards still required for unlocked something on DDR X?

I'm guessing that Konami would like to use it, but I'm pretty sure they'd do something for those without e-Amuse, since they ARE pulling their act together it seems.
