The platform they're dancing on looks like one of the bg's used in DDR Extreme
Didn't they do that on the first HP?
Not that I could tell

Looks like I'll be getting this one just to rip the steps off of. No way am I playing with those grotesque mockeries in the background.

Yeah, that's the theme going. The machine from the PS/PSM video is in another screenshot.

No Doubles AGAIN?! Sucks for the doubles players that own a Wii (like there's that many of them anyway)

Hey =/
I've been waiting a long time to use my Mario Mix and HP1 pads together. Granted I'd probably break my face all over the wall...

Too bad they can't be accurate and name it "Sweatiest Party", or "B.O. Party".
"• Players can learn real dance moves and practice the same routines as the characters from all different angles with the brand new Hottest Training Mode"
I'll believe it when I see it. As far as I'm concerned, DDR has nothing to do with what people consider real dancing.

I'll admit I don't really care of doubles to be honest, although I think one thing going against me trying it on the Wii platform is the fact that the only mats compatible are the bundled ones which suck a bit in comparison to my two foam padded ones. Unless my better pads become usable somehow I think it would be awkward to try doubles on the standard mats which has always been troublesome and difficult.
The four quoted songs sound decent enough. I hope they try to trump the previous game with up to 60 songs this time. I always like that amount because the idea of around 35 to 40 songs plus 20 to 25 unlocks sounds like a decent number to me.

That's the main thing stopping me from buying this. The steps are great, but I don't want to play Singles all the time. Post #133 · Posted at 2008-07-16 07:59:16pm 16.9 years ago

I really hope this game has mods, anyway. It doesn't bother me that much, but some people will miss out on the game if it affects their purchase. Edit Mode would make simming so much faster, too.
And lol, any time Aaron.

It's not meant to be a "mainstream DDR" game, but with the interface, song choice, and it being on the Wii, it's more accessible to a crowd that doesn't already overlap with the "mainstream DDR" crowd. The steps are great, and if it had Doubles and speed mods, buying this would be a no-brainer.

Come to think of it, EvilDave mentioned in a bunch of info from DukAmok that HP2 does have speed mods.
Link - it's the 3rd-to-last post.
So that just leaves doubles, and edit mode

Ever since I tried Extreme 2's, I don't care for Edit Mode. I'll just use SM, because it has more features.

...which was 65 BPM, rendering your first statement pointless. Anyway, I've avoided speed mods until half a year ago, and did pretty damn well at bag Heavy, so I'm not bothered about them. That said, if it doesn't have Note...

If it's the same Note as SuperNOVA, I'd rather use Solo. If it's closer to StepMania Note, then I agree.

DDRX AC will have USB ports.
The Wii has USB ports.
There is a nonzero chance of Hottest Party KOs appearing in the arcade, since there are no licensing issues.
You see where I'm going with this?
