SN2 got totally new boss songs so I highly doubt it.

And by that they probably meant that the videos for those songs weren't ready yet, so they used a random generic video.

What kind of Boss-list is that? Boss lists should consist of new hard songs. Pluto, Pluto R, and Paranoia Respect are most likely already unlocked. Respect was already in SN and SN2.

I doubt we'll get Pluto the First, as that's for Hottest Party. I'm not too sure about MAX. (period), though it's not likely since it hasn't been seen since EXTREME JP CS.

We never got these songs on any of our home versions, so they'd be new to us.

I do not see Pluto the First or MAX. being in this game. I'm guessing that we'll be getting Pluto, Pluto Relinquish, Paranoia Respect, and two unknown boss songs.
On a semi-related note, I don't think Saber Wing and On The Break will be counted as boss songs in the final game. They're 13s (average 9s), as opposed to the boss songs from SN2, which are at least 14s. Maybe one of them will be a final stage, but that's it.

Well, if it's anything like the SuperNOVA2 location test, then SABER WING will be a normal song and On The Break will be a FINAL STAGE.

Then again in JP CS Outer Limits and Trim were boss songs , when they were crossed over the the SN2 US CS they were just regular songs. Maybe that will happen again with DDR X and Pluto / Pluto Relinquish.

MAX., if it was in DDR X would probably be a boss song (It would also freak people out; the ones who haven't heard it anyway). Pluto would probably be a KO.

This analogy doesn't work, because Trim and Outer Limits weren't "official" (read: arcade) boss songs, whereas Pluto and PR are. It would make more sense to say they will be red because FELM was on SN2 US.

I'm gonna guess it's very likely gonna be 20. This game is supposed to support linking with the AC, it'll be really weird if either game used a different difficulty scale than each other.

As far as I'm concerned, that's a full music video and should be retained. Maybe they'll remix it like they did Sakura, Daikenkai, and the Paranoia Survivors.

If SABER WING, On The Break, Pluto, and Pluto Relinquish all appear as boss songs, would that be enough "bossness" or is there a possibility of one extra red song that we will love, and then hate], and then love/hate some more?

On CS mixes? Well keep in mind that that's only been for the 2 most recent mixes. Everything before that had only 2-3 boss songs, that is unless you're counting JP CS mixes...

This is true. In terms of US CS, the only boss songs were:

MAX: MAX 300 and CANDY(star)

MAX2: MAXX UNLIMITED and KAKUMEI

EX: The legend of MAX, TRIP MACHINE Survivor, and MAXIMIZER

EX2: PARANOiA Survivor and it's MAX form

SN: MAX 300 SMMM, Healing-D-Vision, FAXX, FELM, and CHAOS

SN2: FELM, Unreal, NGO, TMP, and PARANOiA ~HADES~

Now that you mention it, is it that difficult to achieve boss status? Compared to the JP versions, where there was also G2, PARANOiA ~Respect~, Trim, Dance Dance Revolution, and MAX. (forgive if I am missing one or two), there weren't many songs that were painted red until recently...

SAKURA and OUTER LIMITS were also boss songs in FESTIVAL.
I don't know what makes a song qualify for boss status, besides difficulty.
