For *fastest* scrolling speed in an official DDR game, there's always Tohoku Evolved 8x. 8160 BPM anyone? *trollface*
constant scrolling speed then.

Doesn't matter, the song in DDR is played at 300 bpm with no changes.
Then he would have said scrolling speed, not bpm
In DDR it's displayed on the songwheel as "BPM", so when discussing the game I don't think there's any problem with referring to it as such.
Somewhat interesting thing: In American DDR games Max and earlier, when using a song that didn't have a Maniac/Heavy chart, they would usually just duplicate the Trick chart to fill the space. So in DDRMax, Cute Chaser (Morning Mix) has the same singles chart for Standard/Heavy, as do the club version songs on doubles. (This kinda skews Max's "total of all difficulties" song-sorting style.)
Konamix also used Trick charts as Maniac charts for its club version songs in doubles and 6-panel. The exception to this rule is Disney Mix, which created all-new singles Maniac charts for the US home version, but excluded the Maniac difficulty from doubles mode entirely.

In DDR II on doubles, all the licenses use only the full-versions, KO's and BEMANI Crossovers all use only short versions, and the Hottest Party Megamixes & Lessons by DJ's 1-3 are absent.

Actually, Quick Master has the most BPM changes (stops don't count as BPM changes because there's no tempo). The display BPM isn't always correct. QM varies between 130-158BPM. This is one of very few songs in DDR which doesn't have a consistant true BPM and NOT have it's BPM purposely altered (i.e. doubled or halved).
What about Electro Tuned, Concertino in Blue, The Least 100 Sec, and pretty much every single song in 1st mix AC?

I guess that is interesting, though I kinda already knew that after playing every song in the game on doubles. It's part of the game. What's more interesting is that London EVOLVED's BPM in DDR II is listed as 80-320, which is wrong. DDR X3 fixes it as 170-340.

I knew about the first three songs you mentioned fluctuating in BPM, but the majority of Concertino in Blue and The Least 100 Sec. still plays at a fairly steady beat. Electro Tuned does fluctuate quite a bit; but Quick Master still has the most BPM changes as far as I know.
I just checked Stepmania for BPM changes.
The Least 100sec. has 12 speed changes.
Concertino in Blue has 13 speed changes.
Electro Tuned has 30 speed changes.
Quick Master has 78 speed changes.
QM wins by more than double the #of changes in Electro Tuned.
But that's not to say that the simfiles are 100% accurate in terms of BPM; because they're probably not.
I rest my case.

Uh, deltaMAX has over 100 speed changes, so no. deltaMAX wins over Quick Master.QM wins by more than double the #of changes in Electro Tuned.

I think they're talking about barely noticeable BPM changes. deltaMAX is noticeable cuz it tells you that the tempo is changing in the BG video.

The BPMs on the official data are different though, so I'm not really sure there if there are 473 BPM changes (as it should be)
deltaMAX has more BPM changes.
888 does not reach 888 BPM, despite the name. Maxes out at 444.

Just check the simfile from X2 category, it's arcade accurate.

The X2 simfile shows that the DDR engine isn't capable of handling that many speed changes in a song as the bpms were adjusted.
The universe 3 file does increase the bpm per beat as it should.

Wikipedia states that NahaNaha vs. Gatchoon Battle from IIDX SubStream was in Club Version. IIRC, it was not present anywhere in the game.

Wikipedia is one of the least accurate sources of BEMANI information ever. Seriously, it's a train wreck.

According to a source at http://www.discogs.com, the version of SAINT GOES MARCHING (REMIX) that was in DDR 4th Mix is also the version used in the Dancemania SPEED 4 album where KONAMI got the rights to use that song. Ironically, a 5-and-a-half-minute-long full version can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8jaSW7waSc (Pretty much the same thing with the TURN ME ON (HEAVENLY MIX) full version discussed towards the beginning of this thread.) Also according to the same website, THE SAINT is a collab between Matt Hutchins & Joel Wilkinson & according to the picture in the YT link, some guy under the pseudonym Helix did the remix you hear in DDR 4th Mix.

uh... isn't that painfully obvious? KONAMI got the license to use that song (from Dancemania), of course it'd be the same with the one in the Dancemania album. It's trivial.

I don't see how this is ironic.

So two no name artists made the original song and another no name remixed it. Hardly unusual given Dancemania's discography is filled with similar songs.

But a lot of people love to spam Saints Go Marching. Remember when the forums exploded with excitement when the false rumor of Saints Go Marching was included on X2 AC, with a 19-footer chart to boot?

I actually noticed that if you look closely at the "B" letter grade in DDR X, you can actually see a number 13. I don't have a picture but simply get a B grade on a song and have a look at it.
