Been a week since I laid my hands on ddr x2
Last time didn't count because I was doing silenttype01 a favor to see if I had anything in request mode unlocked or whatever.

So...about a week :/

Hm... so basically all unlockable songs could be unlocked by playing any songs on Free Mode more than 500 times ?

Is La Receta's artist another Naoki nickname? The song bears a pretty strong resemblance to Baila Baila and that's by him too.

I think Heatstroke is my favorite new song in the game along with Kimono Princess. In fact, most KOs are very nice (Crazy Control though UGH). But 60 songs only is a real downer, watch the JP version getting at least 15 more KOs, japanese licenses, and a real set of boss songs. Pluto the first has to be the worst boss song chart/song ever.

Time to post my honest opinions about every new song then.

Licenses first.

Closer, Disturbia, I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho), Just Dance, Let's Get It Started, So What - I've listened to these songs a number of times and I will always like 'em.
Daft Punk Is Playing At My House - Something about this song I don't like. I just don't know what, but this song doesn't grab me.
Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song) - I definitely like this song cuz it has been a while since I last heard this some from somewhere.
Dream On Dreamer - Typically not a jazz-type of person, but still ok.
Ice Ice Baby - Is Vanilla Ice wearing pajamas? xD But still, a good icebreaker for any party.
La Camisa Negra - I am a total sucker for any good latin song, and this one totally grabbed me.
Pocketful of Sunshine - Too much emphasis on "Take me away~" chorus to the point where it gets annoying.
Viva La Vida - Never listened to Coldplay before, but this song definitely got me thinking that I should listen to this band more.
When I Grow Up - After hearing this song from Teen's Choice Awards months ago, I was surprised this actually made in the song list.
You Got It (The Right Stuff) - Definitely made me wanna dance to this one. I like the beats.

Now the New KOs.
A Brighter Day - Song's not bad. In fact, I like it.
Crazy Control - D-crew gone hip-hop. Me likey.
Dynamite Rave (X2 Ver.) - No way I'll dislike this song, but I still prefer the original better.
Freeze - Reminds me of Innocence of Silence from SuperNOVA for some reason. Nevertheless it's a good song.
Gotta Dance - LOVE IT.
Heatstroke - The piano makes me wanna dance latin. The vocals aren't that bad. Overall, it's a good song.
Keep on movin' (X2 Ver.) - I like the new vocals for this song. Now I'm debating which one's better. Haha.
La libertad - As I like to call it, for some odd reason, the latin-ized version of Stomping at the Gotham. xD
La receta - Oh yeah. I can dance chacha to this song. Haha.
Love Again - I can be REALLY picky to slow love songs. But this one, it captured my heart.
Sacred Oath - Love this song to death. I absolutely love it.
Shine - Never really listened to Tomosuke for some reason. So I guess this song's a so-so.
Taking It To The Sky - I quite like the beats. Lyrics are ok.
This Night - Love this song.
What Will Come Of Me - Black Rose Garden makes yet another appearance. As expected of their crazy guitar riffs.
You Are A Star - For some odd reason, always reminds me of Initial D cuz of the beats. But still, an awesome song to dance to.

Hottest Party:
True Love (Clubstar's True Club Mix) - I like this toned-down version more than the original.

Boss Songs:
Kimono Princess - I like the song and all, but they should make the lyrics more lively.
roppongi EVOLVED - Out of all the EVOLVED series, I have to say this one beats tokyo, L.A. and Osaka.
Pluto The First - Another remix of Pluto, huh? The Expert steps for this song are sadistic. I could barely survive.

True Love remix isn't a boss song lol.

Carlos Coco Garcia is the vocalist, but the song is indeed composed by NAOKI.

What the hell I thought True Love remix was one of the best new songs in the game. The only way I could see someone not liking it is if they expected it to be a faster version or an even more "sugar-coated" happy hardcore song instead of the nice, flowy-clubby version it ended up being. Which I'm enjoying a lot thank you.

Also, Konami needs to make up their minds about what do they really want to do with shock arrows in the game. Their use so far has been pretty awful.

I'm nearing the conclusion of suffering through Dice Master Mode. These are the songs that I haven't unlocked: Gotta Dance, Sacred Oath, La Receta, Kimono Princess, Dance Dance Revolution, Dynamite Rave Air, Dead End GRS, and roppongi evolved. I assume I'll get Dead End on the Level 10 mission and roppongi evolved on the final mission. I unlocked Pluto the First by beating Zero's Zero Level 9 mission, so I was wondering if there were any other quirky unlocks like it that people have discovered. If anybody who suffered through DDM remembers when or where they unlocked these songs and can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sacred Oath was in Concent's region (#10, I guess?), and La Receta in Ruby's,
but both missions had their stepzones rearranged, so you'll need to figure out how to get over them.

I didn't find Gotta Dance either, but I do hope it didn't have anything to do with Concent's region......
Getting 70 Marvs out of 80 is too much for me.

I'm still unlocking stuff in DMM. My down arrow will sporadically fail to respond, which is better than the pad it replaced where the left arrow would sometimes fail for several seconds and Down sometimes didn't register either. I'm starting to wonder if GameStop got a bad batch in...

Is it me, or does the DMM theme sound like a cross between the rap in think ya better D and Dynamite Rave? =o

to unlock the character's 2nd color, play(on their space) their highest level(not team-up)
I unlock emi's 2nd color before playing 80 songs
and for songs...
in queen-zukin's area, the mission on Keep on movin' unlock the song earlier
and in julio's area, the mission on Ubertrefen unlock the song
has anyone unlock Dynamite Rave(Air) by playing Alice's mission with Gus?
