Oh never mind, I thought Unison was just a synonym for Couples. In Japan they label their couples edits as UNIZON/UNISON
Oh, is that what that was? I though "UNIZON" was the collective name for the two guys who like to upload videos of their edits.

Swastikas don't have the same connotations in Japan; they were a universal symbol of Good Stuff, even in the West, until the Nazi regime co-opted the symbol.

Oh, a ton. From instant memory, MAXX UNLIMITED.
And from further digging, e-motion, LOVE THIS FEELIN', LOVE AGAIN TONIGHT, and STILL IN MY HEART are also good examples. Pretty much every song's background to album art was remade slightly.

HERO (HAPPY GRANDALE MIX) doesn't have an album art.
Oh, then you quoted the wrong post, just sayin. Cuz DDR Addict's post was about songs' album arts that were remade slightly from the original background.
And again, that's just the font.

So, can we stop this discussion about the swastika and Nazism stuff? Cuz basically it boils down to "which graphics use Scooter font that have 'x' in the text."

Dazzlin' Darlin's tune was originally inspired by "More & More" by DJ Hixxy back in 2006.
How about this one maybe?

B4U, D2R, Burning the Floor and all the remixes to those songs feature the same robot in the background.
So do 1998 and BRILLIANT 2U.
Horatio has different
charts for US and JP.
Tohuko EVOLVED crosses the line of 4-number BPMs. In fact it reaches 1020 (?) BPM.

Not really remixes, but NAOKI seems to like Zoidberg a lot.
We're uncertain about Tohuko [sic] EVOLVED's last BPM, but calculations indicate 1020 BPM scrolling speed.
BRILLIANT 2U's post-EXTREME video contains lots of Zoidberg (or whatever that bot's name) and if I'm not wrong, NAOKI himself.

here's a question which interests me, it may have been answered elsewhere:
What is the use of the 8x speed option?
has anyone every REALLY used it?
~60 BPM 5x should suffice.
thanks guys.

And one for good measure and lulz:
Basically, x8 is there because it's there for anyone to use if they feel the need for the challenge. It's BARELY used for competition use/training seeing that it bumps up the BPM time eight of its original BPM, giving it a literal chore to even try and compete with that speed mod turned on. So it's mainly used for extremely challenging one-time only play-throughs or simply to mess around with the kiddies.

I see bag played very frequently with 8x speed. Pretty much no other song, though.

maxx unlimited 8x on soft pad.. lulz
Air 8x in flip flops /sandals... moar lulz.
however that 3rd video, R3 stealth mirror ,reverse, dark 8x is impressive.
so to breifly sum up, I think we can all agree Konami put 8x speed mod in stickly for "OverKill", like some of these 19 footers, etc.

Before I list the songs that can be comfortably played with 8x, I would like to say that on average, for people who've been playing for 3-4 years and up, the average max speed people could read is about 600 BPM (2x Max 300 or 1.5x FaXX)
So the songs that CAN be played NORMALLY (no memorized, backward, R3 crap) are:
bag
be in my paradise (not in the lastest DDR ac)
I'll Make Love To You (Not in the latest DDR ac, officially the slowest constant DDR song ever with 50 BPM)
Can't think of anymore lol

Yeah I can't read Max 300 at 2x but for some reason I can read FaXX at 1.5.

I guess Be in my paradise would only be comfortably readable with 8x on SN, cuz EXTREME has that screen footer that half obscures your view so yeah.

That's because FAXX's arrows are more compressed than MAX 300's are at 600BPM. MAX300's 8ths @ 2x are equivalent to 1.0x 4ths in spacing, while FAXX's 8ths @ 1.5x are equivalent to 0.75x 4ths spacing. Get it?
@TsukiyoX: I've played DDR for 11 years, and I still can't read above 600BPM. On the keyboard/controller, I can only do about 500-550BPM scrolling (sometimes I can do FAXX, FELM @ 1.5x), while on the pad I can only read about 450-500BPM before tripping.

I was going to mention what you said about playing 150/300 BPM and timing it by 4x/2x respectively and playing 200/400 BPM and timing it by 3x/1.5x because of the short term memory of reading more crunched up notes better on 200/400 BPM.
SOUNDS CONFUSING, RIGHT? lol
And yeah, not everyone can develop reading faster and faster speeds. I usually never say never, always, everybody and anybody haha

Here's a interesting thing: Konami snuck profanity past the ESRB, and I'm not talking about Extreme.
In Ultramix 4's quest mode, you gain points to battle various versions of DDR characters. You can try to get in without enough points, but the characters will tell you don't have enough. When you try this with any of the 4 B characters (FYI, that is his actual name):
"What? You don't have enough. Get the hell out of here."
Amusingly, the rating is only for "Mild Lyrics" and "Suggestive Themes", so it kind of hits you when you see it. Then again, you either had no idea what you were doing or were searching for this if you saw it, so that may be why the ESRB missed it.

This reminds me of how the Quest Mode douche in Universe said "Damn. Just take my money and get out of here!" or something like that. It's rated E10+, though, so it's not as significant.
