This is completely random, but I never quite understood why the Dead or Alive series is always singled out for having girl characters with big tits. Soul Calibur is guilty of the same thing but I've never heard people call it "Tit Calibur" but I have heard Dead or Alive being called names like "Tits or Alive" "Titty Fighter" etc.
It's probably just because of that stupid Dead or Alive beach volleyball game. That game sucks anyway

It was fine before that stupid Dead or Alive beach volleyball game. I had DOA 2 on the Dreamcast. god I miss that system Soul Calibur is starting to go that direction, but at less SC4 kicks ass game play wise.

The media portrays sex as something cool in a huge majority of its productions nowadays, and even way back whenever. I think they want to encourage everyone, especially kids (whom they know will be most attracted to these products) to buy or watch their stuff. The most influential thing (ESPECIALLY to kids and young adults) is sex, primarily the depiction of half-naked (or completely naked) women. It's ridiculous. Songs aren't excepted from this; the lyrics have everything to do with some sort of sexual thing these days, especially in pop songs by people like Flo Rida.

On the other hand, how many of the Dead or Alive chicks have large cans? Nine, which coincidentally, is how many female characters you can play as. Make it ten if you count Zack's girlfriend Niki, but I don't count her because she barely gets any screen time.
And I hate to break it to you, but Dead or Alive was all about sex appeal since the beginning. DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball just focused more on it.
EDIT: Hell, make it eleven for Dead or Alive if you add in Alpha-152, the cheap-ass, naked, "liquid-Kasumi" at the end of DOA4.
