DanceDanceRevolution X2 (PS2) (North America)

So, just got my hands on DDRX2 yesterday. First impressions:

Sexy interface, good song selections, still iffy cuts on some licenses but most are really good (Let's Get It Started, Pocketful of Sunshine, Disturbia...)

Dice Master Mode is freaking ADDICTIVE. I didn't stop playing it until I had already completed two missions as Alice and leveled everyone to at least level 3, some on level 4.

The revivals are solid, although I still question the inclusion of Baile le Samba.

The items for Request Mode are kind of repetitive, but as I have not really played anything but Dice Master Mode, I haven't done anything in there yet.

However, unlocking in DMM is slow....3 Hours and I only unlocked two songs... D=

Oh well, I assume it will pick up once I unlock more characters. =3

Overall, it gets an 8/10, close to a 9/10. The songs save it.

the unlocks don't really pick up. The missions get pretty ridiculous after a while too.

That is true, but they still get boring after a while when I play them that much and even if I love them that much I can just love them on my iPod instead of having to go through the whole process of taking out the disc. Placing it in the ps2 ect. Not to mention that i might not always want to do the steps just to hear it, but I guess that just proves that we are all different. So I happily agree to disagree.

(Been playing some of the more interesting songs like WWCOM on Stepmania with a chart really similar to NiQ's 13.)

i'm looking for clear vid of gameplay for:
Love Again
Kimono Princess
Pluto the First
and the roponggi versions

any difficulty


purpose: to locate the bpm change and pauses

cuz my ps2 emulator doesn't really help much with this

pls include clear sound... lol

Well since it didnt look like this has been covered, I'm 88/100 in request mode and Konami really knows how to annoy with its requests. I got 5 marv full combos. Took awhile to do it, but then here is the kicker. Konami then wants you to get 15 marv full combos. I like the platinum marv full combo flash though, and the fact it says full marv combo. I do have pics of the results screen if you'd like me to post them. There is the link to some photos of the 5 full marvs. I don't have the pic of 88 yet but I can take that too if not believed. Also the 10,000 kcal in workout mode is annoying. I completed all of the beat basic difficult and expert with a score of 0 challenges too.

I forgot aboout the part where you have one beat to swing your foot from L1 to D2. I guess be glad there doesn't seem to be one with a section like the drum solo in my first draft for The Koan Of Drums D-

Wow so every new KO is pretty awesome. AWESOME. I guess the JP release will have all the Bemani crossovers, since we got none, haha.

Not EVERY new KO was awesome or even close to awesome.. -_-

A Brighter Day - Awesome, though the steps could have been better
Crazy Control - Actually not that awesome
(New) DYNAMITE RAVE - Better than I'd expected though the original is still better
Freeze - Awesome
Gotta Dance - Fucking yes awesome even though the vocalist is kinda bland
Heatstroke - Awesome, reminds me of TOMOSUKE, Caldiera, Nekomata, but awesome nonetheless
Keep on movin' - Not really new but better than I thought it'd be.

Aight so not EVERY new KO, but 95% of em. That's a winner in my books.

So does anyone got a fully unlocked save up for download? I've been playing for a while just to see the new songs and the only song I've unlocked so far is A Geisha's Dream... =/
