Jiggens (AKA dj jiggens from DDR Universe and DDR X CS) posted some stuff on DDR Community that I found interesting.

-The same person made the charts for Trust, CaptivAte ~Chikai~, Blind Justice, and Angelus among others. And he hinted strongly that that stepchart maker will be contributing stuff for DDR X as well.

-The LA team, with the new stepchart makers recently hired, will be contributing to DDR X too.

-The original KDEA team is broken up, but most of them are still contributing content to the games one way or another.


Let's hope this means that the new stepcharts are gonna be good .

How I read it. Looks like I'll be having nightmares tonight.

In SN2AC, jiggens said the following songs had been stepped by the American team.

-A thing called LOVE
-Trust -DanceDanceRevolution Mix-
-Blind Justice
-Angelus
-Me Against the Music
-switch
-CaptivAte ~Chikai~
-volcano
-Venus
-Pluto Relinquish

Among others.

The new American team is made up (I'm assuming) of the new stepchart creators they hired from the community.

Interesting, considering A thing called LOVE and Venus' charts were actually good and fun. I'm gonna try Trust, Me Against the Music, and Blind Justice's next...whenever I get the chance to hit D&B Times Square.

Is our stepchart team really that good? I enjoyed all of those songs. (read: I enjoyed watching Pluto Relinquish on AutoPlay )

Venus' chart is the one I like least out of those. All pretty good though.

Venus was a well thought out chart, just not very difficult to play. I imagine that's where the bulk of the disappointment comes from.

It definitely didn't help that it was extremely overrated

I actually hoped for more when I saw Venus' rating, but, like you said, it was well thought out. When I saw the stepchart the first time, I thought it was perfect for the song. Not too difficult, not too easy, but just right. When I played it the first time, I actually had a decent workout...until I was forced (by a friend) to play Unreal

Weird. Some GF/DM songs if converted into DDR , they aren't hard enough than original GF/DM that absolutely hard. For example, The least 100 sec on GF/DM was incredibly hard (level 99)while on DDR Extreme was not so hard ( on 8, too easy maybe).

Exor: Me Against the Music is one of my favorite DDR charts. There's this one pattern LDULDUL, and you can alternate the whole thing if you start with your right foot. The whole chart's full of really fun step patterns.

Makes sense, because they all have a similar pattern, which can either fit amazingly (Angelus, CaptivAte), or downright bomb (A thing called LOVE, Venus).

Hopefully, these people can get us out of the SN2 rut.
