How many non-crossover KOs are in X2 that haven't made it over here? Could round out the songlist.
edit : 19

With the 5 song reveal things, I think we may actually get 80 songs and not 50 songs and 30 long versions

Surrender is very cool, feels like something a girl punk band like Paramore would do.
Tell Me What to Do sounds good; the xylophone effect sounds weird, though.
Wings of Angel seems a bit disappointing, considering Top the Charts was one of the best DDR 2010 songs.
Suele sounds like La Rec*ee*ta's (Not La Receta, no no!) spiritual successor, but I'm 99% sure it's French. It sounds Spanish in terms of instruments, though.
If there are about 12-14 songs per reveal, then...dang, the Wii won't know how much hit it!

By the way, the vocalist on Diamond Nights last name is Slaymaker clearly because every song TOMOSUKE makes SLAYS

Okay, so here's my review of the songs so far
HEARTBREAK (Sound Selektaz remix): Okay, so this one's been out ever since NAOKI played it at TGS last year, but it's still a great song and in my opinion, trumps A Brighter Day and Let's Get Away, the staple songs of the last two DDR CS games. It's a beautiful love child of INTO YOUR HEART and HIT THE GROUND.
Diamond Night: As usual, TOMOSUKE creates a beautiful masterpiece. TOMOSUKE's DDR work is the most underrated of all his work. Diamond Night sprinkles just the tiniest amount of middle eastern influence on this song to rival wac's Habibe while keeping house elements from songs like Dreamin'. As usual, TOMOSUKE is very good at picking out vocalists.
Summer Fairytale: An interesting offering from what is clearly D-Crew. This one will definitely take a full version to make a final judgement, but I'd prefer if he'd stick to songs like A thing called LOVE when making pop songs. It's not a bad song, but it doesn't stick out among the other songs in this preview.
Surrender (PureFocus remix): An interesting Rihanna-inspired song from U1 here. The melody is catchy but repetitive and it kind of sticks in your head in a not-so-good way. Will be interesting to hear the full version.
The Heavens Above: This one struck me as odd because it's really hard to tell how the song is going to turn out. It certainly seems like it's following the path of songs like escape, which is a very good thing.
Dance Partay: It's time to cut the cord on this artist, Konami. Yes, they had some interesting songs on DDR X, but they have turned up nothing but utter crap for the past two games. This song is so bad that I feel embarrassed for the artist when I listen to it.
Tell Me What to Do: I was expecting Private Eye pt. 2 but was surprised to hear a cutesy pop song reminiscent of I'M SCREAMING LOVE. I figure this one will be popular with those who like their songs overly cute with a splash of electronic.
Haunted Rhapsody: Very interesting! A kind of Halloween-inspired song with a very catchy melody and a nice vocalist. I'll be anticipating the full version of this one.
Something Special: Unfortunately, I didn't find anything special about this song. Jasmine Nii sounds good in Haunted Rhapsody, but here she seems out of her element.
Get Back Up!: A very nice high-tempo song from NAOKI reminiscent of Gotta Dance but with an actual decent vocalist although I can't understand a single lyric in the preview.
UNBELIEVABLE (Sparky Remix): Oh, a high-tempo rave inspired song from jun. To be honest, I've never been that enamored with jun's solo songs outside of the happy hardcore stuff, but this could easily change my mind.
Wings of an Angel (Fly With Me): A nice, cute little happy-hardcore song but I'm a little disappointed that there's no Hanna here. Still, it sounds like it could be a memorable song if the rest of it holds up.
El ritmo te controla: I have to say, this is a catchy little number. It does sound a bit generic, I'm not going to lie, but I can certainly see myself playing this more than La receta.
Seule: My current prediction is that this song is composed by togo. I really like the french feel of this song and it sounds very nice, but I only question if this song is really appropriate for DDR.
Take A Step Forward: TAG's DDR songs outside of stuff like SABER WING and POSSESSION has had some mixed reactions. Heatstroke has a great beat to it, but vocals sound awkward at time and The Island Song is the Island Song. But Take A Step Forward sounds like it was ripped straight out of the Dancemania EX series. Really glad that this will be one of the long versions!

You had to play Theory of Eternity in jubeat knit first to access it in DDR X2, so I would call it a jubeat crossover.

Okay, so here's my review of the songs so far
After hearing the samples in the first reveal, I sure hope Long Version extends to at least some of the KOs.

It does, we know Take A Step Forward has a long version and I think Get Back Up! has one too.

Did you forget to reveiw Seule on purpose Derrick? hahaha
At first I wasn't to fond of most of these songs but after hearing them again I take that back. It's a preety good list so far. Nothing earth-shattering in my opinion. I want some better nc music then Something Special, which in my opinion is the weakest song on the list.
Take a Step Foward is a huge step foward from The Island Song!

Whoops, forgot to do that one. Didn't do it on purpose, I actually like the song, I just question if its right for DDR.

The new KOs all sound pretty good.
And yeah Des-Row ft. Vanilla Ice.
Seems like Konami thinks that hardcore players only focus on Konami Originals, and the casuals only focus on licensed songs.

So we can expect four more reveals until the release date? Cool
First impression of every song...
Heartbreak: Sounds rather generic for a Naoki song, nothing special to me.
Diamond Night: Reminds me of Seasons, one of the few songs I liked from 2010.
Summer Fairytale: Cutesy pop-song from D-Crew? Doesn't sound bad.
Surrender: Sounds like a big-beat pop song. Wasn't PureFocus in DDR before? The name sounds familiar.
The Heavens Above: Feelings won't fade with vocals.
Dance Partay:What the fuck
Tell me What to Do: I think I'll like this one.
Haunted Rhapsody: Again, this sounds awesome. Like a female version of Until the End.
Something Special: It sounds meh, especially for an nc song.
Get Back Up: Now THIS is the Naoki song I was looking for, sounds like fun.
UNBELIEVABLE: Not much to say here, more jun ft. female artist that sounds kind of...generic.
Wings of an Angel: Automatically my favorite, J-MI and Midi-D have great electronic songs. Can't wait to play this!
El ritmo te controla: Spanish songs once again creep there way into DDR, and this one sounds catchy.
Seule - Not to much say about this one.
Take a Step Forward - Better than the Island song, that's for sure

So is Dance Partay the modern version of g.m.d? o.O. It was the only preview I wasn't really sold on. Looking forward to everything else.

Only if it talks about Konami and tells you you'll be running home to your mommy.
Also beatmania.
s.d.z. is still better
