Thats it? I thought it'd be more. I just want to know what songs I should play and improve on since when X3 comes out I probably wont get a chance to play those songs again. Might as well get them on doubles as well now.
There will still be X2 machines around for a while I think. You just won't get to go online with them anymore so you'll have to take photos and videos of everything (Which is what I've seen you do for exclusives on older machines).

You don't know asia, especially Japan. I'd say 90% or so of old mixes get converted as soon as its possible.
I remember when X2 came to Taiwan all the X1 were gone rather quick.

It's not relevant to X3v2nd at all lol.
But one post won my heart:
Anderson Do Bui Quite frankly, I would prefer either ITG or PIU.
Even though I've never played ITG.

Why do you say that? To me, it's clearly a survey of their customers to see what machines they should get in the future. (Unless their FB page is run by a low-ranking nobody in HR or something.)
and it looks like DDRX3 will be the winner, and not Fiesta EX2 or whatever Andamiro's working on after getting butthurt about hacked profiles when they left them broken for months.

oh. Don't put a random newline and period in between your sentences then
makes it look like they have nothing to do with each other

Since then, "it" is less vague... but it's not a big deal since there's no misunderstanding right now.

Actually, I do know Asia... especially Japan. There were quite a few SuperNOVA 2s still hanging around even after X2 had totally permeated the market. You're right, X died rather quickly. Though I think that was because it was X, not just because there was something newer.

most definately i dont think i rushed out to play any X exclusive songs...to me it wasnt a step up from SN....but still even today i still prefer good old 4th mix....there is still one in an arcade in australia!! but it is in the middle of no where lol

anyone seen the last update on BMI??
Dance Dance Revolution X3 Video Arcade Dance Game - Possible (Unconfirmed) Release of DDRX3 in Japan in Q2 / 2012. Other than a Japanese Language version available in Japan only, all future DDR games are permanently discontinued and not available for sale outside of the Japanese market. Best bet for a new dance game would be Pump It Up ! series from Andamiro
if this is true, all acracdes in america will have to source the PCBs and cabs from japan.......i know BMI arnt a great source of info but its an update

That's pretty vague.
It could mean that won't be an Asian release of the game (which is strange because there is a huge South Pacific market for this game), or that upgrade kits will require the newer cabinet (Which I saw coming a long time ago, this year a lot of Japanese game rooms began getting rid of their legacy DDR cabinets and buying more X cabinets)...
Or, and this makes more sense, Konami fired Betson. And because they haven't announced a replacement vendor, BMI is jumping the gun and calling it the death of DDR arcades outside of Asia.

you have a good point regarding betsons.....but i would think it would be something more than just vendor issues, i wonder what the actual sales percentages were in america for cab upgrades vs PCB upgrades.....
but one thing i would have to think is that konami would be stupid do a "forced upgrade" on the older cabs, i know japan has gotten rid of a heap of older cabs, but when you look at how much one legacy cab would have made in its life time in japan vs a new X cab...i think its safe to say the cab would have paid for itself, i doubt in USA and even here in Australia that an indipendent arcade would risk on buying a new cab if the older machines with X or X2 installed arnt pulling in the money.
i wonder what has happened to all the older cabs in japan.....where do they go.....

This is the same BMI that made up a release date and lied about stock availability, so I'm inclined not to listen to them either way.
It would however be more profitable for all parties concerned for all official distributors to just ship over Japanese machines, rather than launch a US version.

My friends in Malaysia said that a couple months ago they got an influx of X2 machines.

So this has me a little concerned.

We already know they're using DDR 2010 KOs in X3, with their respective shitty charts (which, I still pray for a Challenge chart or a re-step). However, it looks like they may be porting over some of the badly stepped, ill-suited licenses (Bad Romance is a great license but the steps are just mind-numbingly bad). Come on, KONAMI, don't you know that steps were a big part of why X2 was great? I have no faith in them fix any of the charts if this is what they're doing, because even though the X2 team has shown they can step like champs, they also didn't do anything about Pluto The First and thus clearly have no problem with awful charts being in the game.
Otherwise, I can't really imagine why these music boxes would show up randomly, especially so close to the X3 release. However, it's also a little weird that, if these are intended to push X3, that they don't explicitly do so on the box.
