It's actually cheaper than it used to be. You can get a Sandy Bridge Core i5 / 4GB Ram / 1TB HDD combo for about $450. My Pentium D 1GB Ram 160GB HDD cost over $1000 back in the day.

CS:S is over 6 years old. Maybe that's why it can run so well.

My laptop cost $750 when I bought it in November 2007. I'm contemplating on whether I should upgrade the RAM to 4GB (the maximum), or replace the laptop altogether. More than likely I'll replace it, considering I'm running Vista SP2, and it'll be cheaper in the long run.

Apparently, there's going to be a new Zodiac sign. It's called Ophiuchus and it falls between Scorpio and Sagittarius. Who the hell came up with that? It throws off all the other signs and those that actually matched personality-wise won't anymore. Actually, my sign won't change. Yay, cusps.

Apparently, this whole Zodiac shift really only applies to the unborn. So whatever you were born with, you stick with that. But a newborn baby will apply to this new shift.

It's been around for ages. I've known of Ophiuchus since 2000, through, of all things, Final Fantasy IX, specifically the Stellazio side quest.

I know it's been around, but they really haven't acted on it until now.

I, like many people, know of Ophi through Final Fantasy.

I'm seeing a bunch of day-olds complain about their horoscopes already on FB which is weird since I thought most, if not all, of my friends were born before 1/13/11.

Just finished Battlefield: Bad Company 2's campaign, and I have to admit that the end sequence where you assassinate the antagonist while freefalling with a pistol is a bit complicated with no aim assists. I'll see if I can take this baby online Monday afternoon EST, and download Battlefield 1943 on the 360 while I am at it, since I have the ultimate edition of BC2.

Also, I might be able to play L4D2 with one of my friend.

Cheaper in that sense, yes, but there's always something new it seems today.
On top of that, I have the worst timing to buy gadgets. I bought a nice HDTV for myself 6 months ago and within that time, it dropped about 200$ I buy a laptop with a garbage intel GPU, then months later ATI and Nvidia GPUs are more common in laptops.
I can never win.

Had an awesome first week at work. I got the hang of things pretty fast and some clients already like me as well as my superiors. They nicknamed me "Dan the Man" XD Which is ok by me. They keep calling me Daniel and it feels strange when they do that.
