Well technically they aren't supposed to do that because those games are copyright in their separate regions making it technically illegal to sell them in America (remember when the game starts up and says it only for sale and use in that region?). So they could... but won't. And if that didn't stop them the sheer ton of paperwork they would have to do to get those in America would.

you have a good point, however, tht didnt stop importers/ arcades bringing in a shitload of other bemani games, not to mention the amounts of DDR 3rd-8th mix that were all over america, and i know that most machines post 4th were bootlegs...which would be worse than importing cabs or even the PCBs as that is Piracy at its greatest...i dont think the feds target arcades

also i was recently in the states and i played atleast 2 japanese DDRX2 that were in old cabs so arcades can just get the upgrade kit which is usually under $2500...which is alot better than $12000++

He's right & I believe the girl announcer was just used only for the test location but I may be wrong.

The test location announcer was also the same guy used from X/X2. No change in announcer. I would have noticed/remembered something like that when I played it if that were the case.

I don't even notice the X2 announcer when I'm playing, but I do recall that while watching YouTube videos before January, there were new recordings/sayings that weren't in DDR X2 PS2 (afaik).

X2 JP was out for 3 months before there was any word of X2 coming to North America.

nah its the same announcer, i have the iphone DDR and its the same voice!!

I can not recall hearing anything new in the arcade.

Pretty sure one of the new lines had something to do with a perfect combo, since console doesn't distinguish in-gameplay between a great and perfect combo?

e-AMUSEMENT GATE service for DDR X3 VS 2ndMIX will begin in November. This would seem to indicate that the game is being released next month.

too soon, oh well. I guess its good news for most.
