Hopefully maybe some new modes or revivals of old ones? Unison? SSR? OMEGA GANGSTA MODE!?

If DDR A is shipped in a new cabinet and isn't just a software update, I'd like to see a new pad design. Get rid of the brackets and make way for some new ideas in chart design. Also, get rid of the solid number ratings and use some chart analysis algorithms and display graphs.

This was totally unexpected but I'm so happy it exists!! Really looking forward to more!

And I still occasionally wish Michael would be a Japan-canon character. Come back on a UFO piloted by PiX and bam, we have an event that makes about as much sense as the Dance Wars one.

This would be pretty interesting, but this would also probably alienate existing cabinet owners and thus a sizable chunk of the market. Personally, I think some things from ITG (individual shock arrows/mines and rolls in particular) wouldn't hurt, and would also improve the potential chart variety.
We already have that in the form of the groove radar, which gives a basic analysis of key aspects of a song's chart. DDRMAX (JP) attempted to get rid of the solid number ratings, but that did not go very well, and the number ratings were reinstated with DDRMAX2.

Personally, I am anxious to see what will be featuring in DDR A, in terms of song choice, interface, and new features. I hope that they license some good songs (in particular, I want them to license smile.dk's Our Little Corner) and also export all of the current Dancemania songs to the Western releases; licensing new Dancemania songs would be nice, but unless this will cross over with an older mix (akin to DDR X3 vs 2nd mix), is not something I realistically expect.

No, no, no, no, no. I disagree with this entirely.

The SuperNOVA/X series allows you to see a lot more of the arrow lane. (In MAX era games I frequently read at x2. I much prefer reading on x3 or x3.5) Not to mention they also gave us the NOTE noteskin and the screen filter. Going back to the MAX series design would be a step backwards. Not forwards.

At this point we're speculating whether this will coincide with the upcoming US release, but we really don't know anything further other than the artists to be featured on the game. After all, it's only been one day.

I'm curious about eAmuse in the US too, but I'm not that optimistic about it since its way past DDR's prime for it to make an impact.

DanceDance Revolution A. Wonder how this one's gonna go... and maybe this will be the version that gets ported to America. After all, both have a summer release. Also, who's this new Zodiac Fall guy? Hope he's good.

Yes please!! Considering those character models have been used for almost 6 years already since X2 (except those two, who only lasted around 2 years since their removal in 2013), I think it's time that we use new character models already.

And those new artists... I don't think I've seen their names in the other BEMANI games yet. Possibly new aliases for the existing artists?

Cant wait for the songs! The theme (or tone/color choices)seems to have an impact on the songs, so hopefully this DDR will be better than the dull 2014 one.

Optimistically, it's more content and a new game, opens up a lot of possibilities for what they can do and what artists could be introduced, some great new songs, fun charts, we finally get a 20 and hate it. No announcer or option to have it off. Good licenses.

Pessimistically, it feels even more like the franchise is on life support and we're just going to get more of the same, what we've been getting for the past year or so, which I can't really say has been spectacular. They don't make a 20 and the slot is never filled, nullifying the point of the meter ever going that high.

Good. Now it'd be cool if they get rid of the current announcers and replace them with new ones (or just leave the game without announcers at all).

They could use some music from Avex like they did with Beatmania IIDX. I'd like to see "The Sound Of Goodbye" on DDR.

I don't care if no one... cares about this, but I want them to get more creative with the background dancers and stages. They've slowly gotten more stale, and now their dances are just very lame and repetitive, with them mostly waving their arms around gracefully over and over.

I miss the classic floating dancers that had camera angles moving all over the place and would have flashing lights when you were playing good, which really went well with the more fast paced songs. Now the camera just barely moves. I think they could do something similar here, a bit more like SuperNOVA, but with more eye catching camera angles and lights/shaders. The backup dancers from DDR II/hottest party 5 would be cool too. It's fun to watch for bystanders and it subconsciously gets the player very pumped up.

Also, I like stages that have background videos playing in displays around the stage. I wish every song would have those stages, with video scripts for each song like in the pre-SuperNOVA games. I feel it gives songs more personality, and it was done somewhat nicely in the HOTTEST PARTY games too.

Anyways, very excited to see where this goes. The whole pink and baby blue theme and Another Phase bgm music was killing me. Hopefully this is the end of Hinabitter/Random anime songs and there is more actual dance music, with some more euro tracks and EDM. I really liked the recently added "The Night Away", and would like to see more songs like that.
