I think that we have to wait more time beacuse DDR II is the unique version that it has the majority of songs from DDR X2 AC and many people are waiting a long time to play them.
...But the simfiles from X2 AC are already on the simfile database. It's just the newer stuff that's being kept under wraps currently.

Me too, and they should've been here by now if Brazen's post is any indication.

If you desperately want the MP3 files you can get the game and rip the files yourself. It was mentioned on the previous page that the files are being held back for now so that it will promote people to buy the game.
Personally I think the files should be held back to about a week after the launch in Europe.

I agree what you are saying; however Brazen shouldn´t have posted that simfiles will be released in two week, it made that many people are impacient to get DDR II songs. Come down DDRFreak2011 your prayers will be listened

Yeah, it's been almost 3 weeks at this point. Maybe they're holding it back a month instead of 2 weeks?

This seems to be the case, but now that HP5 is in the horizon it might be pushed back even further since HEY, this website is international so it wouldn't be quite fair to release the simfiles/mp3's for DDR II/HP5 without the PAL region getting it's share of the profit for HP5.Sounds about reasonable, right?

I hate that we have to wait so long but I commend Brazen for allowing the game some time to make sales. I haven't anticipated simfiles this much since '08.

How do you go about doing that? Just curious. I would love to contribute next time if I can learn how to rip Wii discs. I can any other consoles, except for Wii.

Incidentally, will videos be included? I know they're low-res, but they still look pretty good. And, speaking of videos, will the Hottest Party 3 megamix ever get its video? This game confirms that it's a video file... Lastly, will the licenses only be available as full versions? I'm considering that the charts are the same for the overlapping sections and the mp3's and avi's would still have to be full due to sample music and fadeouts respectively.

Trust me your not the only one, I use the MP3's and import them to my iTunes list and import them into my iPod. Of course I'm more than willing to wait.
I do believe in what everyone says that we should wait till Hottest Party 5 comes out. The PAL region should be able to play the game without spoiling their experience on fanmade game such as Stepmania. With a game like this, its better to play it on the actual console as the actual game; a much better experience with it.

Maybe they should just not be released until DDRIII comes out? It will get people buying the game.

I have a lot of trouble believing that that is a particularly big reason as to why DDR2 isn't selling. Therefore that will pretty much do fuck all for the sales figures.

Well week 2 sales were an improvement over week 1. Still horrible, but an improvement. HP3 had a very slow sales start as well and grew as the Christmas season came.
There's definitely a reason why DDR is not selling like Just Dance or Dance Central. DDR has been going on for 13 years now with essentially a formula of "same game, different songlist". You really have to stand back in awe of how amazing it is for a game that is basically the same as it was 13 years ago (Obviously we see a lot of differences between the earlier mixes and the current ones, but the general public will see essentially nothing different in the gameplay of the two) to still be selling. Heck, HP1 and HP2 were massively successful with the innovative gameplay improvement of...swinging the wii-mote sometimes too.
As for now, well...Wii DDR games are getting a little stale for the general public and sales are slipping. But there's no reason that there couldn't be another HP-style sales revival on one of the new consoles.

Sort of off-topic, but, I was surprised at how many releases DDR has gone through over the 13 years. I never stopped to actually look at it in this perspective.
List of DDR games
But the game sales for the Wii have been declining lately. I think that the Kinect has rendered the Wii obsolete, in a way. I don't think that this is a problem with DDR selling, per se, but rather the fact that the Wii is reaching outdated. The US Hottest Party series really did not make significant changes to the gameplay. I think that the public wants real dancing with no strings attached, and I think that the Wii cannot provide that because of the use of a controller. My two cents
