DDR HP3 / DDR MUSIC FIT (Wii) (International)

It appears to be doing well in pre-orders on Amazon.com, so I'm not surprised that they've shipped so many units out.

That's not surprising to hear at least concerning Best Buy. They not only kept good stock of HP2 available at all times, but they also were the only place in town that sold the Wii dance mats by themselves as well. You can actually get the mats really cheap now.

edit: GOT THE GAME! Unlocks seem to be REALLY easy to come by in this game. There's a point system involved in Free Play in a similar fashion to the PS2 games. so apparently you don't have to go through Tournament Mode to unlock anything. I've already got Kimono Princess and roppongi Evolved unlocked just through beating the CPU on Free play mode. Oh, and of the three boss charts, roppongi Evolved EASILY has the best most satisfying one! It's hard, but it's not DUMB!

Feel Good Inc. is a 7 but the chart is good.

Boogie Wonderland is also a 7 but has nice crossovers and spins. More than I expected it to be.

Some Winx Club features with the dancers have carried over.

I'll probably head out in a minute to go get this, but no playing it until after work. Hopefully someone can figure out the HP1/HP2 thing soon. I'll read the instruction manual to see if there's anything.

The instrucion manuel says nothing for them...except you can unlock stuff in hp2 with hp3...

roppongi Evolved video up. I believe it's ver. A. Ver. B has gallops, and Ver. C like before is the monster. All of them are very much 10s though.

If a song gets played enough, a star is placed on it's banner indicating that it's in your favorites folder. Nice little touch there.

Balance Board mode is HARD so far. Most I've gotten on anything is a C. Kimono Princess is a bastard this way. Highest difficulty is Difficult for this mode.

Hyper Move Mode is EASY in comparison. Hands are stricter in this game due to the narrowed timing windows, but it DOES work the way you'd expect it to. However, moving the remote/nunchuk in any direction shows up as you stepping on an arrow. I thought the pad was going crazy on day one until I realized what was happening. Once again, highest difficulty is Difficult. I can understand why though, it does take some adjustment, especially with the hand markers showing up on the up and down lanes.

Quick question, do the boss songs have the characters doing special things? (Like in HP2 how osaka and SILVER DREAM had the characters flying)

Edit: Nevermind, saw your video. They are flying again, but boy does that stage look pretty now!

That new boss song stage is sexy, that's all there is to it.

True Love Clubstar got a new routine. Unlocked Keep on Movin'. Both are the same shitty charts from the JP HP releases.

Actually attempted Pluto The First on pad on the showdown. Then I remembered that I still had the speed modifier set for 2x. *lol*

So far, it's like I love the game, but I also hate it too.

Still working on unlocking that HP1/HP2 thing.

Starting up Hottest Party 2, with a Hottest Party 3 save file might trigger something?

Likewise, you might need a Hp1 or HP2 save file for HP3 to recognise, and trigger something?

If that were the case, they'd already be unlocked.

I'm enjoying the game so far. Just got challenged to a Dance Battle on Kimono Princess and I won on my first try! (Difficult)
Now I got the song for keeps. LOVE the new boss stage!

I know that DDR is about the songs but wow, HP3 is so detailed in every single way! I love how an announcer announces the song you chose in a very arcade-esque way ("Rappongi Evolved!") and the little animation that plays when you pick a boss song and jump into the tunnel!

That's what makes a good game, a GREAT game. Now, I'm not so sure which game I should pick up; X2 or HP3?

X2 is an ellaborate demo disc for Hottest Party 3.

Ha ha! Nice. If you have a choice, I strongly suggest HP3.

So have we confirmed, there is no Challenge in HP3?

We can't say for sure at this point. There's no indication at this point of how far unlocks go with the DDR Points. I got a funny hunch that it might be possible...

Demo disc for HP3! *lol* I knew that as far back as E3. Unless you REALLY like the revivals, the PS2 got a nuked game.

And I can guarantee you there's no challenge charts in HP3. Or another way to look at it is that turning on Gimmicks is your Challenge charts on Wii.
