I haven't played Cafe, but glancing at the chart, I don't see the resemblance.

Play it on foot. That's the only way you'll see the reason for that song being an 8. And no, I cannot gracefully play Disconnected Disco. I don't do hands; sorry.

I can see how Cafe turns you around a lot, I just can't see how it turns you in a way that makes it similar to my chart.

And I'm sorry to hear that, it means you'll probably never enjoy one of my doubles charts.

Well, I did say "enjoy", meaning that while you might play it, I don't expect you to enjoy doing a chart that's heavy on something you don't like.

Yeah, it's intended to be sorta like breakdancing (which I have never done), with some breaks of normal DDR in it.

I'm still not happy with that ending. While it's possible to touch all 8 panels at once, having weight on them all isn't really feasible. And the position you have to be in to do it just looks and feels awkward.
I want it to end with a sort of slow, graceful, drop on the pad to a sort of bow.

You could always do a 6 note hold and have 2 hand arrows at the end. Just a minor suggestion. It's nice how you're trying to make a "graceful" ITG edit of a DDR song. Wink

Meanwhile, if you're still doing requests, do you feel like playing FAXX (FDE) Heavy

The expert chart has absolutely no crossovers. Since it follows the rhythm of the doubles chart, the 200 section is a bunch of 8th clusters with a giant (I mean giant) stream to the stops. The step-jump section isn't there anymore. In fact, I think there's only like... 1 jump in the entire song. 8th note clusters take the place of the step-jumps.

It might be a tad bland but it could help with passing the actual FAXX Heavy

chart (if you haven't done so yet). You could always look to other charts for the step-jumps. Tongue

Also, lol, the stepchart viewer only counts 46 hands. I count 68 steps that must be performed while something other than a foot is holding down a panel. This is after extending a couple freezes in the beginning where your feet should still be on the arrows anyway, to make them get counted as hands.

Nothing wrong with failing on an experimental chart that the author hasn't even had a chance to try yet. I'd like to be able to see how people try to handle it, whether it actually works well or not.

I took a look at the video and wow! Totally not expecting that! Laughing Hard

I'll take a look at the revised chart later and comment on it.

Edit: The beginning and ending are manageable from what I can see, but I know for certain that I'll fail in the middle with those freeze arrows. I'll try it sometime this week and record my first attempt. If I fail, I won't post it. >_>

The beginning wasn't really changed as far as what you have to do. It was just changed to make more of the hands actually register as hands when stepmania and such tally the number of hands.
I think I'm finally happy with the ending, though I still haven't been able to try the chart for myself.

Also, I just caught an unmatched 2 in the version I posted. The last line should be 33333000. Have fun with the knee drop.

So, I hooked my pads together tonight and tried out that .59 edit. I fail in the first few freezes too. I guess I went a bit over the top with the whole handplants+jumps thing. You're supposed to alternate jumping with putting a hand down. Basically, jump, hand plant, jump feet, other hand plant, jump feet, other hand plant, jump feet, and so on. And I couldn't hit the 16th clusters where you're supposed to have one hand planted on one pad while hitting each panel on the other pad at all. Straight misses there. I guess I wasn't even hitting the panels. As for the ending, it'll be a long time before I can do that 16th stream.

Okay, I can't jump around like a frog on my pads. My body is not used to bending over repeatedly in such a short amount of time. I'm telling you now that I will never pass that song unless I disable the freeze arrows. And you should consider re-arranging that 16th note cluster at the end.

I should probably toss the whole thing and start over. I can't do the part that's modeled after the crossovers in Dam Dariram either (measures 44, 45, and 52). You're supposed to stay bent at the beginning, not getting up at all. I'll try it again a few more times when I get a chance, see if I can get a passing video. Took me many tries to work out the feel of the hands on Disconnected Disco, and these are harder, so it's reasonable for it to take many more tries.

Bump: I just want to say that I got my first quad today.
