Trying Firefox for the first time? Woah man.
Enjoy the real internet.
It's been two days and I haven't noticed any difference between this and IE. The Firefox elitism continues to boggle me.Enjoy the real internet.
If you just run Firefox by itself it's pretty ugly and doesn't do a ton more than IE8 does. It's all about the addons and customizations. If you want to try out something else check out Chrome. It's somewhat versatile and has a pretty decent UI.
Here's what I've got: A simple, clean, minimal UI plus a Bookmarks menu.

Eww, IE. As long as you don't use anything below 8.
9*Also Opera is meh. I don't see what the big deal with it is.

It's funny how I found FireFox. I originally used the browser because at one time you could access the Wii Shop channel using it. Then Internet Explorer got a virus that closed it in the middle of my web sessions spontaneously.
So I switched the FireFox and was blown away. Never wanna go back now.
@Zukin-Man: Well, the reason why there was such elitism with this browser was because at one time, this browser was superior to IE by offering a great handful of more features. Of course now they are more similar, so choosing either or is based on one's preference.
The only substantial thing FireFox only offers is the addons, which doesn't dazzle everyone.
I choose FireFox because I prefer the way it keeps record of my web sessions. For example, if my computer randomly shut off, it could restore the tabs.
That and I find saving my sessions a lot easier with FireFox.
In other news, I tried out Kinect today. Had fun messing around with it. Found some funny bugs with it. It really hates it when you turn your back to it; your avatar twitches when that happens.
Menus were also too watered down for me. I like my advanced options greatly.
All in all, Kinect isn't my cup of tea. I'm not a huge fan of games that use excessive motion. (Kind of ironic 'cause I like DDR)

I actually don't care which browser I use.
For me, any of them will do. (except the fact that people in my house has their preferred browser and seems like you have to choose a browser for yourself, I'm getting accustomed to Opera

I rarely use IE though. Dunno why.

So I guess the only thing that makes them different is Firefox's addon and skin-able capability. Though that's something that doesn't dazzle everyone.

It's not the add-ons in general, its what the add-ons do, from Adblock plus, to Foxytunes (play music straight from your browser)
and Firesheep (Never actually used it, though). And customizing the interface isn't bad too. Though I would recommend you keep risque bookmarks somewhere else since the address bar WILL suggest morally questionable sites that you have bookmarked when you start typing in the Address bar.

Music, noise, smoke and lights are filling up the air. And the asthmatic side of me hates it.

"TAKING IT TO THE PIE" |
For a developer, the browser wars still rage. IE used be notorious for not supporting a lot of standards. IE's table rendering is slow and it's JavaScript engine is slightly slower than FireFox. Chrome's JavaScript engine is blazing fast but has trouble with rendering tables whose width's are supposed to be static and set (that is, if you're adding rows/cells to one). Opera actually has the fastest JavaScript engine I've tested, that's it's big deal. FireFox actually has some strange ways of doing standard thing. So for a developer, the elitism stems from coding for one or the other, however, each browser has its own quirks now. IE supports almost all standards, what hurts is old sites that still support older versions of IE only and refuse to fix their code (document.all I'm looking at you).

I just realized that I'm wearing the finish off my laptop's SRGCHILM keys from playing Stepmania so much
I'm pretty sure it's not all my fault, because I don't play Stepmania all day long by any means, and E, T, U, and P look almost as worn. Nevertheless, I've moved my control scheme one key to the right haha.

I personally preferred the second one out of them all. Most of the clips were too quick compared to how they normally were. Nonetheless it's good to see the guy is still making these.
@Telperion: Yeah I wore my keys down already. The Z,X,C, and V keys are all becoming worn out. My Z key is almost worn out fully
I don't really care anymore because I really hate this laptop at times. It always needs to be onits life support the charger. That and the graphics card is so poor it JUST barely handles Stepmania at full frames.
