Florida is an aberration. You've got 25% of all the Betson X2 cabs in the US. (and then there are 3 in Indonesia for some reason)
I do remember reading before that they only produced a limited run of X2 cabinets though.

We've 5 DDR X2 machines here. ;)
Correct. However out of 2 machines, I'm sure ONLY ONE MACHINE still functions normally. No crosswiring, working pad due to sensors being swapped with JP sensors. The only main flaw left is swapped USB ports. I'm not really sure about the other 3 machines. I visited the other machine, and it's said that 1P gives pad miss like Halloween candy, 2P has crosswiring. (I was there only for REFLEC BEAT and SN2... and BISHI BASHI CHAMP)

It'll probably contain something else as well. Maybe Para Para routine videos, or a short megamix with accompanying music video. Bonus DVDs are rarely just little interviews alone (also, the "interviews" packaged as bonus content with jpop CDs are very different to what people might be expecting? They're very.. uh.. "fluffy"?).

Umm, Konamix was actually the license-less DDR game (hence the name KONAMIX lol), it was actually the first US PSX game the one with plenty of 2nd mix licenses, but not all of them (it had Boom Boom Dollar yet NO Butterfly

It most certainly did not.

Corey meant that the first DDR US CS (which is not KONAMIX) had BOOM BOOM DOLLAR, but not butterfly, as can be seen here.

some arcades will import the PCB (internal computer) or just the upgrade kit?? so they can still get it,kinda like the mass amounts of DDR extreme (yes i know they are mostly bootlegs these days) but there was a huge amount of originals they were all japanese!! i would think someone will import it becasue DDRX & X2 have never been officially released here in australia, we get the japanese version because there is an importer that sells the upgrades....come to think of it i dont think we actually have a Konami Arcade division here.....

that's most likely just because they're still in plans for the japanese release. why would they even bother thinking about a western release so early when they have the japanese one to take care of?
it doesnt mean "no we don't want to release it there ever"

It should be noted that that answer is a standard one from a company when being asked about something that they have not announced yet, so it doesn't prove anything.
And let me just say that you guys shouldn't be too worried about X3 not coming to America.

We've heard from Konami's North Am. arcade division that there are currently no plans for release for North America.
This is typical Konami not mentioning anything until they're ready. This is typical for all DDR releases.

It'll be in the USA in some form, and it'll be in the UK in some form, but disribution will be varied and fairly random, as it has been for the last 12 games.
Whether Betson support it or not, it'll still get more or less the same distribution.

Konami wouldn't dare not try... Even though there are American DDR X and DDR X2 releases those have been imported to the states from Japan with regularity. If they flat out didn't release it Thine Import Floodgates Would Burst Forth!

no plans for a release date, not no plans for release was konami's response and betson says they are still producing machines. bmi hasn't responded, but i believe they read some random date online and confused it with X3 since a lot of their content and product information comes from random sources online.

BMI can import a pallete of asian machines for the price they'd pay Betson for a pallete, so I doubt it makes much difference to a wholesaler.
