Quite frankly, I'm not interested in doing them because I am not here for their shock arrow foolishness. I'm sure one of the lovely co-owners will be up to the task.
hahahaCondor sounds hot.

It's nice to see that someone's taking the time to write good double charts at Konami~ Monkey Business EDP and Condor EDP seem pretty fun too, but nightbird lost wing EDP in particular looks like it'd be a blast to pad.

According to the Z-i-V simfile database & my phone's calculator, THE REASON Challenge has 127 jumps. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that the most jumps in any chart for any song in DDR history?

@_|/-\43D Dynamite Rave Air Special has 167 jumps. Outside of silly radar specials, Twinkle Heart
has 154, not counting shock arrows/mines/whatever.

For random's sake. I believe Max 300 SMMM
-D has the most freezes of any chart: over 200 if you include jumps although exotic ethnic
-D is close.

Regarding that video of the songlist, it bugs me a bit that they only show the new content for like 1/2 a second, but all of the other songs from older mixes get like 3 full seconds. Still, it's nice to get a good look at the content overall.

You are totally right and it's one of my favorite songs too.

Yeah, I kind of noticed that the blue-on-blue for the radar is bad.

Would someone please confirm or deny that DDR running on an X cabinet has some serious timing issues?
I mean like varying levels of visual and stage response lag based on how taxed the computer processor is at any given moment. I'm not sure what to make of my first experience playing an upgrade kit on the older LCD machines but it was not good. The entire UI staggers and takes a good while to load each screen. And I had a worse time trying to find the Marvelous window than I did on the brand new cabinets. I seriously want to be wrong about this, but everything felt really off. I hope this isn't the reason that the newly upgraded DDR machines had no lines and cost the same to play as they did when they were X3s.
Not everyone has kits, there are still locations running X3. That's how I noticed this, I played an X cabinet still running X3, then went and played one that was upgraded and my Great Combo AAs on Double tanked to As with scattered Good Combos. I'll see if one of the arcades still rockin' a CRT machine has upgraded and find out what it's like on those.

Right here in Singapore, we only have the black-body cabinet (yes that very old cab) upgraded to DDR. What I noticed is, yes, the game staggers and is sluggish and it is very slow on the song select screen. Gameplay/timing-wise I don't really notice anything different. A bit hard to time but I think it is due to the loudness of the background noise (that place is packed) and I noticed I got better scores when the place was about to close.
By the way, Aaron played it on an upgraded X3(?) dedicab I think, better ask him.
Actually I'm wondering what does the HID/SUD+ shutter look like lol

The only new DDR machines I've been playing on are in a really loud place. At peak hours, I've have only the song's bass to go off of. =\ But once I discovered the window on those machines I started hitting score AAAs, even when it was noisy.

I just now saw his post on Facebook saying that the upgraded X cabinets make it easier for him to PFC than the new ones, lol. Maybe it was the particular machine I used, I'll go find another one and see if the same thing happens.
Does anyone know what "upgrade kits" entail? Does it replace the whole Optiplex inside the cabinet with a new one or does it just upgrade the software? The latter would explain a few things.

Meaning what exactly? How the video looks on an upgrade X cabinet?
