How is balalika expert rated a 9?!? Which is the same rating as Dragon Blade.

One of those is definately wrong.

Just like Freeway Shuffle and Happy Angel (expert) both being rated 10.

I think Dragon Blade Single = 12 . It more fit than rated at 10 because 10 for DDR X equal 7 footer.

Mm...10s seem to be closer to 8s than 7s.

11s and 12s are around 8s. 10s are high 7s/low 8s. Dragon Blade wouldn't be a seven either way.

Keep in mind that this is only a location test. The rating may change in the final product.

Prime example of this: Mugen. A 10 in the SN location test, an 8 in the final product.

11s seem to be more high 8s (Blind Justice, Feelings Won't Fade, Make a Difference). 12s are more low 9s (Paranoia Rebirth, Saturn, Brillant R-E-D). I'd say 10-11 are 8s, though the ratings are a bit messed up (Having Fire as a 10 suggests it's closer to 8s, but having Look to the Sky as a 10 suggests they're closer to 7s).

P.S. Anyone notice the screenshot of Flourish's expert chart in the DDR X PS2 screenshots? Looks pretty nice from that screen .

Bah, I won't bother discussing the ratings until they're consistent.

There's really no way to know, but it's safe to say there's a ways to go.

In terms of songs, if we assume "Over 60" means 61, and that CS songs are included in there, we have 18/61 new songs confirmed so far. That's less than 1/3 of all the new songs that will be on the game.

About the NA location test, rumors say that the US will see one in early August, but we don't know about that yet.

Yeah, Im gonna have to agree with you also. Just the initial shock value of the new rating system.

Im also going to assume that the "new" song list is only partial as well because there are no new boss songs announced (yet)?

Still hoping Konami has a few nice surprises in store for DDR X like HP and Universe crossovers.

Those are 13s, whereas most bosses seem to be no less than 14. Sounds filler to me, unless they have Challenge charts.

Two things , what the hell would constitute a 19 and a 20 as WELL as a 1 or a 2.

19 or 20 would be like VV and 1 or 2 would be beginner level.

A 1 would be like, 50 BPM and one note every 2 bars! XD

Ever noticed how ddr boss songs mostly consist of "not that bad until the insane end runs"? My guess is that 19s and 20s will be like the ending of 17s and 18s, but all the way. Sorta like it was going from Drop Out to Max300 back in the day.
