DDR X3 VS 2ndMIX (AC) (Japan)

So, I wonder if these 2nd Mix songs will also appear in the main game mode; and if they do, will they have their old charts, or perhaps brand-spanking-new ones?

They'll probably do what they did with the 2008 X-Edits and have slight variations of their old charts.
Or, even better, they could let you pick between new and old charts.

Not shock arrows. If you're gonna put in shock arrows, at least make the chart HARDER than the expert one... >.<

I hope they just keep the original charts with some new challenge charts albeit without the shock arrows unless used wisely.

I wouldn't doubt if they did new cuts of the songs either like they did for X/X2 (Captain Jack, If You Were Here, Butterfly, etc.)

smooooch demonstrated that Shock arrows can be awesome. I hope they've learned that, and we see more things along those lines. They're not terrible, really, but I actually had so much fun playing smooooch .

...But in all seriousness, I'm kinda worried how it'll fare in the States. DDR became popular mainly with console gaming, not with arcade hardware. One of X3's main selling points is the 2nd Mix mode, which'll probably go unnoticed by a lot of people playing the game, or at least have some people go "WHAT'S THIS LOL" and just get all confused-like.

Not saying it doesn't look good--it does--it's just that the hype for this just doesn't measure up to X2, IMO.

That line is lifted right from a headline I wrote, it's not official lol.

My biggest concern is how the shitty cabinet quality from the previous two games will influence arcade owners in deciding to pick up X3. Honestly, after the last two efforts, I wouldn't want to be the guinea pig arcade to order the first cabinets and suffer another round of breakdowns. I really, really hope they can get the cabinet quality under control, because DDR really can't survive another round of this pad garbage in North America.

The dates are finally getting good for a global release, but I'm hoping it's not too little too late. I'd be way psyched to play X3 by Q2 next year. Provided it's playable.

To be honest X3 doesn't hit the "HOLY MOTHER OF SHIT" factor like it did with X2, you also have to notice that the game hasn't even come out yet, DDR II will give us a slimmer of a glimpse as to what X3 will be like, then X3 will hit Japan and then we will see how it fares amongst the veteran players and the such, then the US gets their's shortly now with this news update and...

lol. But seriously, only thing i am worried about now is the same thing everyone is begging to ask and get answers about: Will this have upgrade kits for X/X2 US AC? What i do wonder now is if there will be a much more better implication of unlocking things within the machine instead of waiting until Half Life 2 Ep. 3 gets released for Unlock Code MAX for X2 US/EU AC.

Not bringing my hopes up but the news saying that the US will shortly get X3 AC after Japan gets X3 is pretty good news anyway you look at it

Wonder what this actually means.

DDR X3 will come out and then we'll be waiting for all the new songs from that game to be included on DDR3 for the Wii.

Maybe they will have updated charts for them, as in, more synced in with the song. Such as Get Up 'N' Move, I believe in miracles, ect.
