am-net says upgrade kits will cost 248,000 Yen or about $2,700. That's significantly cheaper than upgrade kits for DDR X, which were 348,000 yen or about $3,800.

Makes sense, since this is just a software upgrade (as opposed to the DDR X upgrade - which included not only the BemaniPC hardware to replace the Python 2 hardware from SuperNOVA, but also USB slots and an entirely new front control panel).

Is that the cost of upgrading from any mix or just DDR X?

Well, this is their way of fixing the "Encore Extra MFC/PFC/FC with an E" glitch...

I believe it's when you play the Encore Extra stage but get an NG on the last freeze arrow, causing you to fail with the NG but still full combo the song.

This is not 1.5x as much new content as DDR X. :VAdmittedly, Stillwind's death may have affected that.

To be fair, we don't know if "new songs" counts from CS songs or not. SuperNOVA didn't go around advertising 100+ new songs.

It seems like they're treating all the HP3/MF/X2 CS songs as brand new... I'm just wondering what exactly they'd pick as CS crossovers. They're tapping out on the PS2 releases, and I don't think they're going to extensively pull stuff from the previous Wii games (although we could be proven wrong again). I just hope that some Universe 3 material makes it to AC (or ANY XB360 material, for that matter.)

Two new modes "HAPPY" and "PRO" mode will be included. "HAPPY" mode is intended for news users to understand the game and "PRO" mode is designed for advanced players.
New songs from popular IIDX artists like "Ryu", "dj TAKA", and "kors k" will be present. There's also talk of having the two games be more related or something.

It says something about using PASELI to customize things and to "expand sequences". Sequence=Stepchart?
