Didn't get much done this weekend. Got a new one but it has such bad MA I debated on posting it altogether until I got a better MA (what a letdown considering I did so well at Horatio and my best on this one has about half the perfects). Though, the ending half has some ridiculous patterns and I was really happy to get those. Dr. D, remember this one?

I still have nightmares about that one!!! haha. But seriously aaron, thats incredible! I can't believe you actually got that. Not saying your not good enough, just saying that song is a pain in the ass. I think it's still in my top 10 played songs now cause of all the tries it took me to get it. Although, I think today I might be able to beat Bean's 29.

Did you do anything special to get it? I know I had to train myself how to hit jumps at the 16th jumps with one foot on the jump so it played out like 3 taps.

I'm really proud of these PFCs, before them the hardest I got was Freeway Shuffle and Love Shine.
Now I really wish I had a working DDR cab near me, but we only have a EU X and an old DS Fusion

Played some more SN2 over the weekend. I'm still having a pretty hard time adjusting to MAing like I do on X2. I think the 2 biggest problems are the feel of the pads (I think they are namco pads) and the lack of screen filter!!! Seriously though, I have never and will never get a good score on SN2 if that one stupid red on white background comes up. A few others are annoying as well.

I flagged 4 tens in a row on SN2. Max 300, Max 300 SMMM Expert and challenge, then Respect. I think Respect feels good on SN2 and I may be able to get the WR on it though I'd rather do it on X2.
Also tried boss rush episode 4 but after in the middle of faxx.

Got to play some SN2 while helping move my brother into college in Rochester. Considering how little I get to play this game nowadays, these scores are pretty good.

Not entirely sure where to post this question, but I figured that someone who regularly posts in this thread would know the answer:

In DDR X2, on a course in NORMAL difficulty, will a score between 800,000 and 850,000 give an A or a B grade?
Surprisingly, I can't find a single video on Youtube where this situation has happened.

EDIT> Oh crap, I realized you mentioned this was for courses. Hold on.

Ah, I have the actual scoring system but not for the grade letter (something to add, I suppose), but I believe on a NORMAL course, the grade is calculated for the score as if it were for a song on "DIFFICULT" difficulty, and for a "DIFFICULT" course, it is calculated as if the ending score were for an "EXPERT/CHALLENGE" song.

No, because as this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAEzJzdhKgY) clearly reveals, "DIFFICULT" courses are scored as if they were a "DIFFICULT" song. (A score from 800000 to 850000 earned a B, and a score from 850000 to 950000 earned an A.)

I can't find any similar videos to confirm grade calculation for a "NORMAL" course.

Okay then, do you have access to an X2 machine to confirm this or do I need to purposely play a course to get that score range to find out? 800k~850K, hmm. I will see what I can do.

I don't have access to any DDR arcade machines at all. Otherwise I would have tried it myself.

You might have to purposely play a course if you can't find a video displaying that score range. Remember, it must be on NORMAL, not DIFFICULT.

Every video I've seen either failed the course to get into the range (VS REPLICANT Normal was common), was on Difficult (Pluto Story), or didn't get into the range at all.

Thanks for helping out, but I feel kind of bad for making you waste a credit. (or potentially multiple)

Almost beat my Max 300 record on my first try today. Messed up part kinda hard or would've gotten it.


Finally got under 50 on Xepher. (43)


I RePFCed Mei Expert which I thought was pretty hardcore. I can probably re get the WR if I play it more often.


Lastly I made big improvements on these two songs.

First time I FCed it believe it or not. Also, only had 2 going into the ending slow down. I REALLY need to work on that ending if I'm going to get anywhere with this song.


Oni passed this! haha, it was on extra stage. Thought it would encourage me to work harder. I think a "AAA" is possible in my future.

Harder stuff

I managed to PFC Max 300 7 times in a row. Here's 4 of them.


The rest of them you'll see in the video later. It should have been 8 total if it weren't for some jackass coming up right behind me on the last attempt looking like he was going to steal my camera or something. It made me turn around at the last song's freeze and F up the next arrow.

Also almost got the WR on Horatio Expert by getting 27p. I got it 3 times in a row as well.

You would need something like 66 perfects or less to AAA that course. That's less than 17 per song. Extremely hard.
