The best one was WILD RUSH (PCM MIX) Doubles which was rated 1. Hardest 1 ever.

2-4?
Is that.... normal? .

Well, at the one in the Kanto region, you would have to wait upwards of two hours, so yeah...that's a bit small. But also realize that this test has been going on for a few days now, and that there are two location tests of EMPRESS to compete with Tongue.

Kanto region..... Where have I heard this before.... Oh yeah....

I knew psyduck had something to do with this. =P That's why we don't have a lot of info. =P

Well, I'm likening Konoko's death run to ska a go go's, only the latter has a lot more stream while Konoko has weird gallops.
*double-checks ddrUK's stepcharts*
..Could've sworn ska a go go was an 8. I must be thinking of the Standard chart =P

Burning Heat used to really kick my ass on stamina, and it didn't help that I was trying to cross over and got stuff like LDRUR. I'd say it's still a bit more draining than So Deep, though it's been awhile. (And yeah I used to play flute in high school, so I don't theoretically have any problems with triplets. I didn't play the flute with my feet, though.)
Play my game Arcana Seal of Rimsala (SNES)!

So this slight lag from the LCD screen mentioned in the first post.. will this be a permanent change or just for the location tests? The timing window is strict enough without having to account for lag, I think. The widescreen monitor looks sexy though, definitely excited to play some doubles on DDR X. I'm wondering if widescreen will make a difference lol.

It's reported that even with the widescreen, the arrows still appear in the conventional places.
And i'm guessing Konami will do what they can to fix the lag.

And i'm guessing Konami will release a patch on e-amuse to resync the songs to match the lag and leave everyone else boned.

If they do that, and I end up with a DDR X 1 block away, I'll continue to go to the ITG2 R21 that's 10 miles away.
Of course, if they continue the idiocy of bright backgrounds and semi transparent noteskins, I'll do that anyway.

Uh...this is just a test machine. The actual release is months away, so let's wait awhile before we start assuming what's going to be in the final version. Tongue They know about the lag now, so let's hope they are able to fix it before the final release.

bright backgrounds

Screen Filter modifier. And even without that, many people have said that the new BGs aren't as bright as SN/SN2.

I've never had any problem with bright backgrounds. Have you tried the vivid modifier?

I prefer using Rainbow or Note rather than Vivid. It's more readable than Vivid.

Weirdly the death run of Ska a go go is longer on Difficult than Expert...

Really? Hmm, I never had problems with clearing Burning Heat. I can FC it pretty well, but it's a bitch to PA. Then again, I've been learning the drums for a few years now, and that's done wonders for my stamina/timing.

And anyone who can play the flute with their feet own. Simple as.

I agree about Rainbow; I use Rainbow/Solo whenever I play in the arcade. I'd say Note is the hardest to read on SN/SN2 because of the transparency and the tendency to blend in with the backgrounds (which isn't so bad on EX2). X seems to be relieving that by using different colors.

I would say that standards has two death runs as supposed to just a longer one. There's a clear break between the two. They're also on different arrows. I also wouldn't call them death runs, lest I think they were as hard as Paranoia Survivor's death runs.

There's two in doubles expert as well I think. But it's been awhile since I played it.

I agree about Rainbow;
I think most people agree that Rainbow/Solo is better than vivid. My suggestion of vivid was mostly tongue in cheek. If I ever give the helpful advice to try a song on 1x, that's tongue in cheek as well. Tongue

I'm slightly better at vivid than the other types of steps. I think you lose all the benefit of solo on 1x, I would choose flat when people chose solo.

However, as an advantage I get a competitive edge by forcing people to no solo during Extreme tournaments.

I suck with solo. I'm good with vivid or note only. I tried playing Can't Stop Falling In Love (Speed Mix) heavy, and I could hardly see them, and that was at the EX arcade...

I try not to use the Note mod in EX2 because it blends with the backgrounds to varying degrees (DAIKENKAI is one such case). This also applies to the Rainbow mod and Monkey Punk or MAX 300 (SMMM)

Then, there are the songs where you won't see the arrow regardless on skin. I was playing Captain Jack Light Double and missed an arrow because it blended in with the clip that scrolls up. Oops
