Looks like someone from their PR department has no idea what they're doing.

yes, how dare a PR person that doesn't know anything other than "DDR american version" finds an old logo and uses it
we know what they mean, and anyone who doesn't know doesn't care
Still, it's sort of mind boggling to confuse DDR A with DDR USA unless you really don't care
you found the answer

I'm surprised such a huge bug slipped through, even for Konami. Timing issues are death for a rhythm game, so here's hoping shit gets sorted soon.
NO, that's the thing. The evidence is anecdotal. He did in fact get an early great. This picture proves it:

And re-watch his vine.
He's just blaming the controller. (Or maybe it's a rare, legitimate pad great. And he's blaming the software?) If this picture were the case, then Dr D would've noticed on launch day.
By the way, people do get 19 marvs and great. All the time. Good IIDX players sometimes full combo 12s with 1100/200/30 too.
The real glitch is exclusive to the white cabs, it seems. (Where there is a loading gap.)
EDIT: and he is playing on a white cab. It could just be gapped, like is already widely reported. But there is NO WAY there is a great window between marv and perfect. That doesn't even make sense. It would cause bigger problems than 240/3/1 (great). Even casual player's scores would be totally messed up by this if it were true. Think about it.

Pardon my ignorance, but how long was the gap between the release of DDR 2013 and new songs or events being added? I wasn't actively using ZiV back then, so I'm curious when we'll start seeing new songs unlocked.

I checked RemyWiki, and I want to say, like, anywhere from 3 weeks to a month.

The annual summer crossover event happened one month after 2013 launched. Then the extra stage rotation started happening. At first, 2013 was patched every month with new content. After 6 months (I think) some new licensed songs arrived too.

It was less than six months; the game started in March and the new licenses were added in July. And before that there were the two Royz songs that were added on their own.

So I guess this theory now.
1. There's some input lag on white cabs, so player must step little bit earlier than other cabs(this is true thing)
2. But sometimes lag is less than usual momentarily, then player gets "early great".(I never got "slow great" when I do marvelous attacking.)
This is not exactly same problem that widely reported. and not only my own experience, but also many korean/japanese players on white cab.

New song announced from Hinabita: Kurokami midareshi shura to narite (Rin Shimotsuki version) because Rin won in Chikuwa-hime contest, so her cover will be added.
Will be added in 4/18.

I don't know about korea now, but I did play 1 set on the white machine here. The reason why I only played 1 set was because I couldn't bare to play another. The timing was awful, just plain awful. Maybe I could have adapted to it and did ok, but with how bad the machine's condition is plus the weird timing, it simply wasn't worth it.
I was mostly confused though since echospeherics did manage an MFC on korea's white cab so I wonder if we have the same type of machine anr/or update. Anyways, just thought I'd share my experience with it.
Also, now after having 8 sessions on DDR A, I would like to endorse it after all. Don't get me wrong, there are still a bunch of minor nitpicky stuff that bug the crap out of me, but the overall experience is pretty nice. I did like that on white machines you would use the up and down buttons to navigate through the songs which is a huge time saver and a nice touch I didn't even consider before. Now I get why they went with the new UI of stacked rows. (At least for White and Black cabs.)

@Dr.D, an update was released last week to fix the white cab's timing - but this has exposed or introduced some other bugs I think?
Latest version should be dated: 2016040600

before update,Xepher had very awful timing issue as you know, and now Anti-Matter has.
and well, korean version has it's own bug.

in 2013/2014,New Decade's background video was deleted because of かっこいい(kakkoii) scene and stage is changed as dark one.

but they changed stage same as japanese version when A was released, but video was not.

Wow, lots of bugs. Reminds me of 2013 when one of the song's videos kept changing and lagged.

For me, this patch only improve the timing by bit (Get lesser late Great). A lot of regular players & I still get a lot of late Perfect & i had to force myself to step slightly early to get better score. It's kinda horrible imo Latest version should be dated: 2016040600

I see the text on the cabinet's marquee is in Thai, but was the game's interface translated to Thai too?

I think sudocho meant that the text was in Japanese only. The NA/SA and EU (HAHAHAHAHAHA) release will most likely be in English so they don't have to worry about having 12 different language teams working for them. That seems to work for console releases but not necessarily for arcade titles.
