Umm, that's the point, Extra Stage is meant to be HARD lol. You are supposed to feel good about beating them (I'm talking about the boss songs).

I agree but for some newbie player, they never know what is Extra Stage. They only know play 3 stages and over (if that DDR machine set on 3 stages). So when they watch people get Extra Stage, they confused and dizzy and think what the heck is that. When they look for hidden songlist, maybe some of them realized "OOhh, another hidden songs? And how difficult that songs!" or maybe " What the...Does that machine error?". I always see newbie player on my local gamecentre that never ever know what the heck Extra stage is. They never practice on Reverse mode so they always let it Failed because before try they just give up easily.

That's what Nonstop mode is for. Newbies can use it to play 4 songs without needing to get Extra Stage.
Confidence comes with having peers to match your efforts with, of course.

according to BemaniWiki , battle mode have 8 exp each CR , that's not a big number IMO

the fastest way I think is choosing Random (5 exp each song) on basic / difficult
using Dark (2 exp each song) + Reverse (2..) + Shuffle (2..) / Mirror(DP) (2..) , changing the Note skin (2) to something like "Cyber" (available after enjoy lv. 13)

becoz u will get 20 exp for the 1st time play on any song (main point)
if u manage to reach ES/ESS with all stages playing songs that u haven't played before
u will earn 1 to 1.5 enjoy lv.

if no interest on Random , then just pick songs that haven't played before is good enough

That's just an example for using Mods. And also, i had played all songs already.
Which is why i think that Battle Mode is better as well.
Anyways, Enjoy level isn't that important for now XD

...That's why you have to meet certain requierements to get Extra stage (i.e. beat your final song with AA or better). EXTRA STAGE IS NOT MEANT TO BE PLAYED BY NEWBIES.

SN2 made this evident by forcing you to do good on Unreal (a fairly hard song) in order to get access to the Extra Stage. And if you don't do THAT well (96k AA or less) the game will give you only 1 or 2 lives for the extra stage, meaning that only the best of the best will have the biggest chances of doing well in the Extra stage.

You don't necessarily have to be the best of the best attain Extra stage since there is an alternate way of doing it. I mean, I've gotten to Encore Extra before.

Still, that was no easy feat/feet. *lame pun, I know*

Only the one in Naperville's Brunswick Zone is online. All other machines are offline.

On the topic of ES/EES, when SN2 gets to Albany, I could easily get ES and usually EES every time by choosing random, since there are so many easy songs. And I've AA'd a few 9's, so chances are I could do that usually. Of course, some day it's going to give me Maxx Unlimited.

And yeah, beginner players are usually confused when they see me play ES and see the reverse arrows (or CHAOS), but usually they're annoyed because they wonder why I got to play 4 or 5 songs when they only get 3, IF they pass the first two.

I've never gotten ES on SN2. I just can't get a grip on Unreal's beat. The closest I've been is around 930,000.

I've only gotten ES on Extreme, but I got it with 7 foot songs.

This. I didn't really meant "best of the best" as of "people who can AAA everything", but more as stopping people from spamming Love Shine and Sexy Planet challenge for getting extra stage.

Yeah that's one thing I prefer about the home version - you can still get ES from any song.
...That reminds me. I CCR at home, and AAA'd NGOO (3 greats) thanks to Jumps Off 1. You could probably do the same at the arcade for easy ES, since that mod doesn't affect your score.
