Yeah, the layout of the difficulty names and foot ratings/numbers is pretty much like X2 arcade.

I wouldn't be surprised if they used that blank space as a spot for the "long version" selector.
Shari, there is a "tab" folder looking thingie on top of the Groove Radar that says "Short" and "Full" on it, if the song has both, it means the song has both Short and Full versions of the song. It can also have either or too...Post #1063 · Posted at 2011-09-04 09:04:21am 14.4 years ago

It's also worth noting that on last year's DDR PS3 demo, there was no CHALLENGE difficulty but it was included in the final game.
I'd say X-Scale has a good chance of being used in this game. The demo used the old scale, but U1 asked shortly afterwards whether players would prefer the X-scale or old scale and the responses were overwhelming in favor of the X-scale.

I wonder if Challenge mode will be in this version. Even if it's not I'm still impressed with how everything else is turning out. Also, I wonder if there will be any exclusive remixes on this version as well.

The DanceDanceRevolution page on Facebook needs a mere 1,892 more Likes to breach 200,000.

I was never impressed with the X-scale. I can certainly see what it was meant to accomplish but for me all it meant was that instead of having a good portion of the songs misrated on a 1-10 scale, there would be a good portion of the songs misrated on a 1-20 scale. It does space out the nines and tens better but that could have been accomplished by adding two to five more to the classic scale and not force everyone to re-learn what 8s are. Anyways, I've never "hated" it I've just never liked Konami's execution of it... having half the games they release still use the old scale and potentially confusing a lot of people who go from one game to the next. I'd like for them to just pick one and stick with it and, now, I think the best choice to stick with would be the X-scale. So hopefully that's what's happening.

No, it has not been confirmed. We are merely speculating right now.
And yes, let's pump up those likes! Being so close to the release date, they may release some more info to celebrate.

I just found something VERY VERY VERY intriguing with the 2011 DDR II E3 Commercial that i want to point out
Look at 0:07 and under the Game Rating you can see a special note that says:
"Music Downloads Not Rated By The ESRB"
Usually, most rhythm games that have this label points to that game having future DLC, so could DDR II actually be the first Wii DDR title to have DLC packs/songs?
I just want to say here though that THIS DOES NOT CONFIRM DLC FOR DDR II, this is so far only a rumor that i just happened to catch while watching this...odd DDR commercial. I've also been told that it could be for the 2011 DDR series, unfortunately if it was for the series, at the end of the commercial there would have been a logo for Playstation Network and Xbox Live (or the PS3 and/or Xbox 360 logo).
This could be a mistake and it wasn't intentionally put in the commercial, but still...that's something to ponder >__>

I noticed something as well.
The pads in that trailer were noticeably sturdy/rigid. Was that just CGI added in, or could we be getting better pads?
Probably the former, but there is a strong chance given the more intense song difficulties.

I also noticed it too, but it didn't "click" on to me until now...Granted, they could only be a cardboard cut-out of the DDR Wii mat used only for the commercial.
All we can hope now is for more news about this game, if this is all real, then wow Konami's going all out with this release.

I have a number of things to say:
That is the cutest thing I have ever seen Konami do.
Me and my future wife are TOTALLY throwing a DDR party at our wedding.
This had better be getting airtime because Konami would have no problem selling DDR if all their commercials for it looked like this.
As to the ESRB rating(s), good eye Max. It's also relevant to note that if there are two ratings for this game it is getting released on at least two systems, isn't it? I do believe that the 2010 games shared the same rating discrepancy. DDR Wii = E, DDR PS3 & 360 = E 10+.
Those are just props for the commercial, I've seen unusually sturdy looking "soft" pads before in other promotional material.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's a DDR 2010 commercial .

That's something i am wondering at the moment, with two ratings it also means that it could be placed in a different system/a different DDR game for 2011, the only contradiction to this is that nowhere in the commercial it shows that it is for any other system OTHER than the Wii...And i do agree, this commercial actually makes MORE sense and connects with the whole "family friendly people playing DDR whilst passing through each generation" magic that makes this commercial actually good.

The title of the video says "2011 DanceDanceRevolution Commercial E3" which the Final Cut was made on May 27th, 2011. And as i said in my original post to the video there is nothing regarding the Playstation or Xbox 360 side of the game, it is, from what the video is showing, strictly for the Wii.P.S. The ESRB website gives DDR II an E 10+... so I now wonder what the plain E is for.
