I don't know where photos of the insides of the X pads are, but they feel much better / less tiring to play on / don't need to stomp hard to score well. It's hard to tell the difference from sight because of lights vs. no lights, but from looking it seems the 2013 panels sink significantly when stepped on, whereas the X panels don't seem to do so. (But again, this may just be crap because I find it hard to tell what the X pads do (not do) since they light up.)

EDIT: When ArcticWolves said that Find the way was supposedly hard for a 12, he was right. Also, after hearing Condor, it is safe to say that dubstep is now in DDR.

Condor is not even full-on dubstep, it's tech dance.
I really want to hear clean audio of that and Back In Your Arms.

Find The Way is definitely challenging with those jumps and 16th bursts, high-end 12 for sure, possibly more suited to be a 13.

Condor is tricky, very twisty, but not too harrowing. I think it's an appropriate 13 though. Both look fun though, definitely liking the step direction so far.

The Island Song CHALLENGE

It's not bad as a bag-lite sort of chart. If only the song actually warranted that kind of chart.

Although I would prefer a few arrow placements in a segment different in order not to get caught accidentally in a spin, I like the chart.

Haha, that was awesome. The step placement is a little awkward sometimes, but it's definitely on purpose to try and make this fit the billing of being a 13. I think it's actually really cool!

Is this the first proper 48ths in a DDR chart? I think it is.

Either way, I'm scared of the next time Konami use 48ths. Because it will happen at about 170bpm. And that'll be the inevitable 20.

Maybe a dubstep type song will be DDR's first 20 footer because dubstep is very unpredictable and complicated. Just a thought though.

^Very tough for a 12 IMO.

Honestly, I'm quite pleased with The Island Song CSP. Reminds me a lot of how the ITG customs would have handled it- well, how I would have handled it, anyway

Everything's looking pretty good so far to me, although I'm not a huge fan of the Island Song.
Definitely approve of Beautiful Dream and Condor, both look pretty fun to play.
Find The Way is good too, although it's definitely not a 12. Too much chaos/air, I'd put it as a mid-13

Yeah tech-dance part is the best, amazing song
