Your first edits always seem to be your worst. In my early editing days, I had some really good charts and then some that were crap, and even some of my simfiles probably will get new steps soon, but I feel like I can consistenly make good steps.

As for specific content, you're off to a good start, but they're heavily influenced by the original charts. Just think about what you hear in the song and not about what Konami gave you.

I do take the Konami Sample Data and switch it around a bit, it's almost the only way i can "hear" the rhythm of the song...

...but on other edits, i might change it around a bit >_>

Especially since the first two games were really good (sorry, haven't played the third one).

Lately, I have been going over every edit I have ever made and found interesting things about when I first made them:
1) I seemed to really like jumps back then.
2) The first edit I ever made was DON'T CLOCK ME on DDR EXTREME US (this was before I realized I could use the controller instead of the pad)
3) It took me about a year or so (around 2005-06ish) to realize that the reason why some of the songs sounded weird to me was because I had the game on stereo sound when my TV only provided mono sound. Now I can make more accurate edits.
4) My toughest edit used to be Love Is Dreaminess, but now it is OUTER LIMITS
5) The later an edit came in my library for each game, the better it seemed to be.
6) The last edit I finished revising was BURNIN' THE FLOOR (BLUE FIRE mix).
7) I have the fewest edits for DDR X (34 or 35)

Maybe I should get out more...

1st edit I did was I think was Spin the Disk from MAX2. I've not done edits in a very long time due to Stepmaina having a better edit mode.
