I was talking from a software standpoint/cloning 2nd mix

Oh well in that case, They did quite well. I mean they really can't go wrong with implementing a feature like that UNLESS it still features that X-X3 announcer. Even a Standard Definition "emulated" version wouldn't be that bad. Now, if this has the old IF YOU WERE HERE DP Expert charts that I like to play on extreme then I'm content. I know people don't really like the old DP charts for that song but after trying the new version in X2 and in ITG2 (with EXTREME pads) I think it's safe for me to say that the old song isn't THAT bad if you're into crazy, fun charts that get you moving.

As a matter of fact I DO hear the 2ndMIX announcer when I look at that picture.

It's also interesting to note that whatever resolution that banner is at, it fits the old, original aspect ratio from 2ndMIX.

I can't wait to see the song select screen from 2ndMIX Mode... yep, if they've mimicked the UI to this extent we're going to see the return of the CD carousel!


We don't know if these are the original cuts and step or not. I'm honestly hoping that the rest of 2ndMIX gets the DUB-I-DUB/GET UP N' MOVE/HERO/IF YOU WERE HERE re-issue treatment. Hey, if we're really lucky they'll throw in BOTH. Just looking at that screenshot, with a CD, CD Title, metal doors, foot icons, etc... makes it a very real possibility.

I can't wait to see the other features of 2nd Mix Mode. I feel excited and I am really looking forward to this.

Did Konami revive their partnership with Dancemania? Maybe that's the reason something like a "vs. 2ndMIX" was able to happen in the first place. When I saw the updated CD title from that wonderful screenshot, I thought to myself that maybe that's what happened. It's an exciting prospect. But I could just be overanalyzing the whole thing...

The rating itself is unchanged. See here. They changed the name associated with a 2-foot rating, however, which indicates it will probably use the out-of-20 system... or they just goofed up.

What I am really saying is the name of the foot rating. It is already "Simple," instead of "Moderate."

It's actually 3 footer (or lv 5 DDR X).

This is also one of my worries. unless KONAMI will not screw unlock code compatibility.

Either way, I can't wait for this to play all DDR X2 unlocks plus I'm so Happy and Theory of Eternity!

Especially when the only X2 cab that you have in your country are X upgrades and have drift.

Back on topic : the picture is great. I'm wondering if there is speedmods on 2th mix "mod". Also, i'm wondering if they'll make a nice chart (it doesn't means something hard but different/better).

I open this thread and I'm surprised with 2nd MIX Mode. Good job Konami. But you have to leave the associated name unchanged. Or no speed mods (When you decided to include speed mods, make only 1x and 2x available).

This is great news! to bad I never to go to try a DDR X2 arc before, since there arent any in my location, thats why I'm really freaking out about DDR II, cause its the closes thing I have to the arcade. I hope in the future we get the orignal Boom Boom Dollar on DDR CS version.

Yeah thanks for ruining the moment. Of course if it is e-Amuse only, an unlock code would delay it by months in other regions
However I see that being unlikely and it will probably be selected where you choose Happy and Pro Modes.

I wouldn't see the point in making it e-AMUSE only. Clearly there will be e-AMUSE features within the mode, but it doesn't seem likely to me that they would require e-AMUSE to access the mode.

Remember though, there's no indication that they'll even acknowledge a 2ndMIX in the US/EU. As far as I know, there was never an official release of ANYTHING between 2nd and 5th outside of Japan/Korea.
