So by old songs he might actually mean "older songs that haven't been on US PS2 versions yet.."
Also that interviewer sure is a DDR Expert stating that Holic is from DDRMAX2

U1 is obviously the "Cutie Chaser." I mean, with songs like La Senorita virtual, Midnite Blaze, Such A Feeling, Silver Platform, and Fascination -eternal love mix- under his belt, what do you think his inspiration is? Sipping out of a coffee cup?
But I can understand what's going down here. In fact, I'd expect a number of revisions/remixes could pop up in the near future, as if they're taking the natural musical appeal of successful songs in the past, and reinvisioning some kind of "alternative past" to the series or something...
Other thoughts: 150 DLC? (looks back at "crazy Best Hits list" from a dozen pages ago) Hmm...
Also, I'm trying to search an old DDRFreak thread about a dream I had/shared there a couple years ago... it had lots of "reimagined" titles, such as a vocal remix of Healing Vision (TERRA-style), a happy-hardcore cover of DEAD END, a blues-house version of MAX 300 (timed in 1/12's, naturally), and something that sounded like an nc or kobo cover of AM-3P, that played kind of like the original and DROP OUT put together.
I'll link it if I can find it! Come on, DDRFreak Search!

4th mix indeed. Cool interview, but I always find it a shame that they don't have people who are expert players interviewing...always potential for comments like "what Unlimited isn't hard at all what are you talking about".

If anyone is going, the Konami booth will be #5213.
Gosh i wish we had a convention over here like that...but we don't

I'll be moving to LA in September, so I'm going to try to go to E3 next year, whoo! (Will also be living 15 miles from AI, yeah!)
So yeah, I guess G4 is never going to upload that Konami conference.

because it has fast moves but they’re kind of easy steps, so it makes me look good.
That Max2 thing was crap, although this is true, especially on Doubles. You move back and forth a lot without having to do any crossovers, which allows for a comfortable transition into Doubles 8s.As for the "old songs", this must not include Dynamite Rave since it's also on Wii, which only has "new songs". *still crosses fingers for Paranoia Respect*

Konami just posted some news about its E3 trailers... just for Silent Hill, Saw, and Karaoke Revolution. I'm starting to think we are not getting a trailer for the DDR games...

Dynamite Rave got a brand new chart, that's why it's on Wii. (funny because that's one song that I felt like was going to eventually make it to Wii, it's got most of the other classics now) Keep in mind also that the ALL the revocalized FFP classic songs were given new steps. The only song that didn't get entirely recharted was that Love Shine on HP1, but then again hand markers weren't really played up in the charts on that game at all. HP1 was primarily a foot game. HP2 on the other hand, was NOT.
Putting old songs on Wii would warrant brand new charts even if it's the song doesn't change simply because of hand marker implementation. The Wii version not getting any classic songs and charts is probably to avoid pissing off anyone who's a fan of the old charts.
I see people already complaining about nonsensical double stepping and such in the charts as if the step designers were from the HP2 crew. (theory time) IF the singles steps are the same across the board, this COULD mean that the steps are being made for the Wii with hands in mind first and foremost, THEN sent to the others where everyone else will have to deal with singles steps oddities. The chart for Disturbia REALLY leans me toward that conclusion. If that's the case, then doubles and eightway will be the way to go on the other versions. This is the big reason it is pissing me off that the videos for the Wii version show nobody playing with hands on in single style.

Honestly though, even if there is double stepping in some charts, if it's at a rather slow speed like Disturbia, it really isn't too much to worry about. You'll still have time to move your foot to the next panel without getting a terrible judgement.

Hottest Party games don't have challenge difficulty. I wonder how that is going to effect step charts. The charts already seem a bit easy from what i seen, though hopefully this is too early to tell. The wii games do not have edit mode either, right?
