I'm actually working on porting JP Extreme over so we finally have bases for a correct MAX2 port and any other similar games

What version of Stepmania 5 do you have? I have "beta 3". Neither my videos nor beware's videos work with the rewind feature. With Stepmania 3.9, the background scripts work without a hitch, so...

(It turns out the speed changes work in some of the scripts, so at least that's settled.)

Hey guys can someone help me I tried to go to the select style screen from the title menu and it just shows a black screen and it wont let me do anything can someone help me with that?

That's a rather outdated version. The current version (out of beta, we're now in final version with patches 5.0.9) supports rewinds and loops as far as I know.

Make sure you don't have any errors in your lua, check your metrics to see if your there's anything wrong

I'd check myself but I'm still waiting on the files.

Yeah, I can't get to the main gameplay mode either. :/ Does it work for Stepmania 3.9, or...?

I didn't add the 3.9 version yet

Hello! i've been checking back on this thread for a while.. I'm actually super excited this theme is being worked on and I would like to help if that's alright. I'm not an expert at coding or know everything about theme making and such, but I can try at least hahaha

Anyways, I managed to get a clean recording of the sound effect that comes on when you enter the select music screen in extreme usa (I have a copy of the game and a ps2) using an aux cable and recording it from my phone. However, it has the announcer saying "Select music!".. I don't think you can get just the recording of the sound effect without the announcer getting in the way lol. I uploaded it here, it's a clean mp3 audio (about a second long) along with the lua you use to make the sound effect appear in the theme when you select music:

Edit: Just make a folder with the name "ScreenSelectMusic in" and put it in the BG animations.

I can also try finding the audios of the nonstop, edit, and challenge background music. I remember running into them a while back

I done some sound ripping before, let me see if my usual tools can get all the sounds.
