I want to fix Deadball de Homerun ESP and EDP. I'm well aware at how fun both of these charts are, especially EDP, but the song itself doesn't have 24th notes in it, so the 24ths in these charts really should be 16ths.

...It definitely has 24ths. It's a swing beat.

A Geisha's Dream (Ruffage Remix)
Emphasizing this one.
It's amazing that this might be the only song that needs to go in here twice.Emphasizing this one.
Anyway, actual entry: A Town Called Malice from Unleashed 2. I LOVE the song, and loved the fact it went in the game, but they were scared, put it as 102bpm (and also rather offsync too, woop live bpm) and made it into a bit of a 5-foot blandfest.
Now that Konami aren't scared of 24ths they could make a REALLY fun 8/9 of that song.

so many unnecessary gimmicks
Where? I'm not seeing unnecessary gimmicks. I'm seeing a lot of patterns that force you to face right, but I'm not seeing any unnecessary gimmicks.I'm aware that the simfile says it's Heavy, but that's because the simfile is for the FESTIVAL Heavy chart, which ended up becoming the official Challenge chart.
I'm talking about the 8 footer which has yellow notes where they are not needed. Sorry, by "gimmicks" I meant "patterns".

I think now's the perfect time to bring up Only You from DDR Extreme (PS2 USA). Got really frustrated the first time I ever played it, that I refused to hit the 16ths as 16ths. The song clearly screams, "24ths," does it not?
And if they were scared of 24ths at the time, they could've just doubled the BPM & used 12ths, right?

To be honest, there's so many songs from the years that should have used swung 24ths but they didn't because they were scared off.

Matsuri Japan and it's remix and Swing It being other examples. Still there were other songs (examples being bag and Burning Heat!) that had to use 32nds and 64ths due to a technical flaw (I'm told). Which, obviously got fixed during the X era.
