DanceDanceRevolution (AC) (Japan)

I'm excited for a new DDR. Maybe the USA will get this one, since X3 was kind of a catch-up mix for Japan with DDR 2010 and DDR II songs... but that's probably just wishful thinking. With the name simply being "DanceDanceRevolution", I predict a radical shift in some part of the game; that, or they add some subtitle later.

Glad you see it that way too. I don't get why are people getting annoyed if people are excited for something new? I mean, what did you expect? lol At least you know there are people who still love the game.

But anyway, I still don't get why they just used DDR in the title (let alone not using spaces lol). At least name something like Dance Dance Revolution.....Galaxy? Well not something like that but you know what I mean.

I sincerely hope the name gets a subtitle for the actual release; calling it DanceDanceRevolution would be silly. That aside, very happy to see a new location test! We still have a sizable chunk of KOs from DDR 2010/DDR II that haven't been on AC so I expect the following to make up much of the location test list and ENJOY unlocks in the final release.

I see they're once again flirting with the idea of just calling it DanceDanceRevolution.

You know you can't really follow this up when we have 3 DDR X3 machines in the US, sure they may be unofficial international versions, but...we still at least 1 machine here.

Besides, if the name is not DDR X4, there could be a strong chance for this game to have an actual upgrade kit/official release internationally, but we'll see come December or sometime 2013 when we actually get the name of this game revealed.

A new DDR, huh?

I'm kinda excited, but kind of worried at the same time. Since there wasn't a CS released here in the Western world this year, there should be more all-new content (as well as an abundance of BEMANI crossovers). Perhaps we will get crossovers from Sound Voltex this time (and probably from tricoro as well).

My Wishlist for crossovers so far are:

->Fly you to the Star
->The Sampling Paradise
->3y3s
->EDEN
->F
->Anagrams I to Y
->The Shining Polaris (kors k mix)
->Several Words
->DM Star
->DIAVOLO
->24th Century Boy
->Heavenly Moon
->EVANS
...etc. Plus some jubeat, REFLEC Beat, pop'n, and GF & DM crossovers.

As well as new KO's; but I doubt that they will take the nostalgic route again, so I don't expect a bunch of PARANOiA's, Trip Machines, other older-song remixes, or basically anything from NAOKI. I don't know whether NAOKI still produces all-new content or not (excludes remixes of existing songs).

I don't really care for the leftover KO's from previous CS mixes. There was probably a reason why they didn't make it into X3.

And the licenses can be anything at this point.

Also more original content from Sota, TAG, Ryu would be nice.

But let's cut back on the EVOLVED and jun boss songs; X3 really milked out on the EVOLVEDs and it's time to see something fresh and new, like what X2 did with RDA.

Perhaps this mix will start a new, 3rd Generation of DDR (2nd being SN-X3, you don't have to agree with me). But that's if the songlist isn't more of the same as X3's.

When I first saw this thread I was like "Who the heck decided to bump an old thread about the first AC mix ever?" and then I was like .

It pretty much boils down to whether or not Konami's decided on a new distributor for AC outside of Japan. I can personally see this version being much more recognizable and approachable for locations like D&B. I'm hopeful.

You are allowed to express our opinions but there's a place for that. Pretty much 80% of what people have posted fits the "What do you want to see in the next DDR" thread more. Or do you need another thread named "DanceDanceRevolution (AC) (Japan): the Wild Mass Guessing thread"? There are even a fraction of posts that are not even related to the thread or pretty much useless posts (e.g. quote + "XD") and useless hyping since we all know (almost) everyone is hyped for this.

I wasn't really directing that to you, I am tired seeing that all that post. If you really read the thread you can see it.

Who give a fuck if what they're saying can go in other threads? When there is ZERO info on the game other than the name, I would rather read their posts than your childish ranting about how people should be posting in another thread because some random dude on this site who has no authority what so ever said they should.

Anyway, part of me really wants to see this be nothing more than an HD remake of 1st mix just to watch everyone complain that it has zero new songs and a ridiculously small song list with no Maniac mode.

Actual information and dissemination of this actual information? It would be nice to be able to read that without skimming through pages of arguing and arbitary guesswork.

Perhaps put a link to this thread in the first post, so people know where they should take any posts with the phrases "I HOPE", "JAPAN ONLY" or "MAX PERIOD"?
