Hey, look, a chart for New Decade...

This is the first time I've tried making an official simfile from scratch, but I think I did pretty good myself.

For starters, new Decade Basic - Expert is now done
New Decade Out of date, see next post

Second, Shiny World, my favorite of all the REPLICANT D-ACTION songs has been stepped.
I couldn't find a Basic chart, so for now it's just Difficult and Expert.

I suck at graphics making so I didn't even try since I couldn't find a clear Shiny World album art picture, so if someone would like to help to make it less dull with graphics be my guest.

i just downloaded and played it... well as for the offset, update its sm file:

#OFFSET:-0.444;

autosync-played under temporary edit stepchart full of left - right note arrows only using my ps2 controller (for chart synching).

I just checked and the offset of -0.300 I have it set to now lines up perfectly in my Stepmania.
Assist Tick checked and the works. It's perfect so I don't know why it's not lining up for you.

advise to you: listening through assist ticks "perfectly" synching with the beat is not ALWAYS trustworthy. Try to play it on hand or foot, you will notice the difference. The delay second of assist ticks are different depending on the theme everyone is using. I already tried that way (syncing by just listening through assist ticks) ON PAD, then all i did was just rushing to the arrow instead of listening to the beat of the music just to get me either marvelous and/or perfect.


EDIT: The song offset i mentioned earlier assumes that i set the global offset to default which is 0.000.

I'm really getting confused now as I just tested both of the songs on keyboard and got a nice robust amount of mostly Marvelous with a few Perfects and Greats. From where I stand the songs are perfectly in sync, and adjusting them, like for example tweaking New Decade to -0.444 puts the song a whole half beat behind.

I'm using Techno Fiend 3.1 as my theme, so that might be the culprit, but I doubt it since all the other songs work fine with it and no one has complained about off-sync songs with those.

@sillybear : Keyboard, pad, controller... has a delay too. That's why most of the files are synced late.
Because people sync it proper to their own marvelous....
Also, people are so used to their own delay that they have trouble to see it sometimes :s (i was like this ln time ago).
I have an offset on my itgpc, so my keyboard is not so bad synced.

Assist tick is still good imo. I use both assit and myself playing to find a decent sync on a song.

EDIT : Just downloaded New Decade.
I tried the file, then changed the offset. 440-ish seems pretty good.
300 is really late... (kinda what i said above about sycn issues).

EDIT: personally, I don't trust autosynching using keyboard. I always use gamepad controller (e.g. PS2control pad) as my input for autosynching cuz it always give correct timing when playing live on dancepad. It always flows with the music beat.

Since the popular opinion leans towards the -0.444 offset for New Decade (which I still find odd ) I went ahead and made copies of New Decade and Shiny World with the offsets sillybear suggested.
