btw, did anyone catch the background of the music/menu select screen on the first video? It looks like a pink-customed version of the DDR X2 AC, but for the Wii...

Judging by those videos, it looks like this DDR game could actually be called "DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY 4: DanceManiaX".

Personally, I don't think it's necessary but I won't be surprised if they use it.

Also, my suspicions were correct. The routine DOES correspond to the arrows here. And yes, that song sounds really good! Interesting that this is Free Play. Hope the difficulty picks up a bit. I wonder what the new modes will be like, if there will be one specifically dealing with arrows-only. I'm very interested to see their approach this time around. There's a lot to learn from all three of the HP games that they can use to make a great game this year.

Actually, although it's currently listed as Free Play, this is actually Choreograph Mode as I originally thought.
"The new Choreograph Style mode allows you to dance with the model dancer on screen utilizing your whole body using the mat controller, Wii Remote and Nunchuk."

Guess they're just having it as Free Play for the sake of the demo.

Wow, they've actually done a really good job with the background dancers, they correspond with the actions really well and actually look like they're dancing while doing just steps

Yeah, no wonder they only had 2 songs. This just adds even more work for them but it's a good thing.

Expert charts for Choreography and Balance Board mode please. I understood why they only had up to difficult last year but let's ramp up the difficulty a bit please.

edit: That was posted before those new videos went up. If that's Choreography Mode on average, then the difficulty looks like it'll be fine. Much better looking than Hyper Move Mode, which got boring really quick. Balance Board mode could either use an Expert setting, or the licenses need to get a little more difficult.

It's Hard to believe that this game is on the wii, graphicly speaking. It's looking really good

It looks as good as HP3, if not slightly better.

I published my own personal article of a list of suggestions and improvements I'd like to see considered for "HP4". Will probably get some negative feedback (particularly from PS2-exclusive players) but.. meh, just thought I'd post anyway for anyone who's interested.

@Astroman: Not new news for me. It'll be a new multiplayer mode for sure. I'd wager that this might be Hand Marker-only gameplay, perhaps something like Just Dance or even Dance Masters. After all, they claim you won't need the mat to play.

I wonder if there will be a Game-Only release this time.

Choreography mode is clearly the evolution of Hyper Move Mode, and IMO it's more than welcome as HMM was worthless. This actually looks like it could have some real difficulty and actually make you move.

My suggestion for DDR HP4 is : On Movie Option (HP3) Please Konami separated into 3 different ways.

When we selected Movie, the video BG ala Extreme 2 will appear , all dancer will not displayed.

When we selected Dancer, the dancer will appear + 3D stages. (ala HP and DDR SN/ SN2 / X / X2 before)

When we selected Picture (On HP3 just shown wallpaper BG), the official artwork wallpaper (large image) will appear ala StepMania.

Movie Option on HP3 is ALMOST perfect except for Picture Option.
