The Official DDR Accomplishments Thread (Read first post, NO STEPMANIA OR ITG)

Would it hurt?

The only problem I see with ITG scores is hacked cabs and installations could be using a wider timing window (Same reason this isn't a StepMania accomplishment thread) so we would never be sure if an ITG arcade score is legit. That pretty much leaves ITG for PS2... How many people even have that game?

I'm in favor of and ITG Accomplishments Thread, but I want it in the ITG forum, not the DDR forum where we are right now. (Don't we have one of those hiding somewhere already?)

I know anyone who did that.
Sure they add speedmods and toons of stuff, but i don't thing the people do that.
So itg scores are legits imo.

So thing that is NOT legit i to play official DDR song on ITG and enter the score in the ddr score tracker for exemple.
The timing window is not the same.

DDR and ITG are still 2 different games. I like both but not the same way.
I will not argue i won't start a debate here ^^

Actually you are WRONG. ITG machines with custom themes pretty much ALL have looser timing windows. It had to do with ITG2 pre R16, the simfiles had poor synching (or was it something to do with the pads?) so there was a buffer added to the timing windows that made getting good scores easier. R16 fixed whatever was wrong and removed this buffer making the timing window strict. MOST custom themes include the buffer to make the timing easier post R16, so only a pure ITG2AC R16 or later (not hacked) will have a strict timing window, it's almost guaranteed that hacked cabs have looser timing windows.

And keep in mind, it's not really the timing window, it's a BUFFER added that makes the timing looser, so all the timing windows will seem perfect, there's another line in the code that should be 0.0000 and is usually changed to something higher.

Sure, 1.5 millisecond can make a little difference in FA but what i respond to AeronPeryton is just in case he think about add 1sec to the marvelous timing for quad easily.

Also, if someone can quad a song he will certainly get a kick ass score too on an other cab (regardless the JWA).

So all scores are fakes now or legit or whatever. I guess most of the arcade have the +1.5ms unfortunatly, so we have to deal with it.
Because not anyone have access to a ITG cab easily or knows how to hack a cab.

But if someone wants to argue with ITG legit score we could argue about DDR timing issues on differents mix too.

I don't mean to incite an argument, I was referring to how easily ITG scores can be tweaked by modifying the scoring system. Not about the wider timing window in ITG in general. ITG is based on StepMania and StepMania scores aren't counted for the very same reason. It doesn't matter how unlikely it is to happen it matters that it can happen.

I digress...

Hrm...well, for the record, the only ITG I play is my PS2 one (no bars, either), but since there seems to be some controversy over it, I'll refrain.

I DO, however, have a new DDR accomplishment to report:

Bag, 1x, 3 greats.

I would think that the PS2 release would be the only one that is safe.

So, i played 7 days ago and got few new stuffs :

Also, got maybe my first FC on cartoon heroes. Best previous score was 9greats with 5NC and 1NG (3 on 5NC at least were from pad :s).
I got 13greats.

Got 2 on Sky High (previous best was 4).

I also played Witch Doctor 3 times i think during the night.
I got 2greats then on my last game (2nd song) i got this :

Really happy about this one.

Like i said, the rating on this one is weird.
It's a 9 and a 8 at the same time.
So many arrows and kinda dranning stamina make it a 9.
Only 4/8/16th notes without crappy rythm and no crossovers at all make it a 8.
Game says 8, so it's an hard 8 imo :p

It tooks me a lot of time for figured out one part. My foot was kinda floating and i keep geting greats.
But every time i went to the arcade, i praticed a bit and get less and less greats.

I just got my first Heavy AAA on a pad. It was the 3rdMIX version of Keep On Movin'. Helps that it's one of the shortest songs in DDR.

It was SN2 for PS2. Had they corrected the timing in that one? Either way, I was very pleased, because my second-best score was somewhere around 20 greats...

Dark Mage : No the "corect" version was on X. Still, 3 greats on SN2 or X is sick at x1.

The first AAA (PFC) is like a barrier. Once you broke it, things goes better sometimes.

ΩOMEGAΩ : I saw that you count both arcade and home AAA on the same counter. Do you know how many AAA did you got on arcade only ? (score tracker maybe ?).
Nice new AAA. I like how you have pad + arrow view on your home video.
Also i laugh at Twilight Zone... because i AAA'd it too recently (2-3 weeks ago).
The song is so good. But some patterns are a bit weird. It took me a lot of time to AAA it.

NIQ9 : Lol at slowdown on Kimono Princess. Also your stats (2great, 1almost, 3boo) reminds me when i (or the pad) fuck up at the arcade (on easier songs for sure). Still a solid score.

Lets see... I believe I have around 60 or 70 now. I usually take a photo if its not being filmed (which happens a lot). I just started playing Extreme again and can AAA almost any given song on command if its under a 9 footer. SuperNOVA was what I was playing more all the time but the timing window is very difficult to hit in.

That's kinda what i thinked about when i said this few days ago :
For me, the timing on extreme (and some older mix like Euromix2) is easier than the recent ones (SN 1 & 2, X).
So if i play a song on extreme and keep the score, i would feel like cheating because i know it's a bit (just a bit) easier.
That's why all of my Extreme' scores are songs that can't be played on SN/SN2/X. (it's a list of 56 songs, 59 stepcharts that i called "The .59 list").

I know i'm really weird. I think nobody does this xD
Foe me, all of the arcade AAA posted are legit (i don't care bout the arcade type), it's just me, i'm always adding "stupid" rules for me ^^'
I also know that someone who could AAA things on extreme can certainly AAA it on other mix.
For exemple, DrD got some really really hard AAA on SN2/X and on Extreme too.
I'm not sure, but... DrD, did you played PSMO on extreme because of speedmods ?
x1.5 is like x1.75 on recent mix, imo.

Oh and btw i doesn't have facebook :3

Oh and if you wants to try an hard song to AAA on extreme, i'll say Long Train Runnin'. I really don't know if i will be able to AAA this one day. For me, it's so hard to not get greats :s

I have still an hard time to doing well the last run (with all the crossovers).
I can kill on it keyboard (index) while doing crossovers. But on feet, it's like i don't understand well.
My best is like 93.2% or something. My goal is to AA it (so 95%). I'm waiting for SN2 where i play (in late september).
I never played SN2
