I'm surprised that not many people are talking about this here.. I guess it only appeals to competitive players which doesn't seem to be anyone from ziv lol
I had work on that Saturday that the Florida tournament was being held. And then there's also the fact that they don't support Doubles

There are plenty of competitive players that lived close to the Florida Game Works and didn't go.
It wasn't appealing.

Probably just luck that nobody on ZIV lives close enough to one of the regions to actually go.
Two words, they're in bold now, do you read posts?Quote
Hell, it wasn't appealing for me.
Just read a column about MN where it sucked hardcore.
I was afraid of something like this.

lol, I guess BMS has it covered then, and everybody discusses it over there instead.Just read a column about MN where it sucked hardcore.

I don't read BMS, so I wasn't aware of their coverage. It seems like most people here read BMS, so with discussion occurring there, it's not surprising they don't feel the need to discuss it here.

Typical UK/US arcade attitudes, not surprised at all.

If they had a Southern Cali one, it would've been a huge hit.

I'm amazed that in our local arcades, at least at some point, we've been able to get the go-ahead to have a look at the pads on 4 of 7 machines that have been here. Seems that we're just lucky/persuasive. But I digress.
If Konami were truely honestly going to make a proper working tournament, they should have made it work, simple as. There doesn't seem to be much specifically good about the tournament at all, so far.

Yeah unless they decide to hold a tournament at Myrtle Beach, I'm probably not gonna be able to go.

That would be amazing especially since its only a little over an hour drive for me. Although it feels as if 80% of the the machines in that town have some problem or another, haha.

Well it'd still be a big trip for me since it's like 3 hours away, but it's doable and there's actually people there.
When I went down there we stopped before actually reaching the beach (it'd have been way too crowded) and hit up the Broadway at the Beach arcade for some SN2. It was a lot of fun, but there was no fan so I was drenched by the time we finished. On the other hand there was a bridge where you could get fish food, and there were like 20 million fish on the surface along with a bunch of ducks. I spat on a fish, lol.

Myrtle Beach sounds less important than Miami.

i'm hoping that there will be something else at finals next week. with only 8 people competing its going to go by awfully quick. i'm hoping, but not holding my breath, for X2 to make an appearance.

I highly doubt X2 would make an appearance.
Maybe X would slip.
