Who's got the upload/download to support the coming and going of simfiles all the time is the question.

About the best bet I can think of without consulting people.
Hell, are the bandwidth statistics on the front page true? 33TB a month? I can't imagine hosting that kind of bandwidth comes cheap on reliable servers...

I just put an order for a dedicated server that's hosted in the Netherlands.
Once the domain transfers over and the new server is all set up I can say good bye to DH.

I hope and pray that LeaseWeb will be a private server so no other sites would give us any traffic headaches.
Looks like that until the move happens I'll only be able to access this site after 11pm. Seeing that theres far less traffic at this time of night.

It will be a dedicated server isolated from all others so we should get 100% of the server's power. It will be interesting to see how well it runs there.

Well if it doesn't work out, I'm always scrounging for suggestions here...
Not staffed here but I and others that are looking into options download and use this place so we want what's best with what you can afford too. Only real site left that a dedicated source for sims as it stands...

The site will go offline for when the new server is configured for transfer and will likely be down for 2-3 days.
Here's a list of things to do on my end:
• Take site offline.
• Export database and transfer to new server.
• Upload site code to new server.
• Move data files to new server.
• Test new server with hosts file.
• Transfer domain DNS configuration to registrar from DreamHost.
• Change IP from DreamHost to LeaseWeb.
Host Transfer Complete!
If any part of the site is not working properly, please let me know here.
