Also aside from some of the drastic move alterations I REALLY like the changes in generation IV. It makes a lot more sense to to sort attacks by how they work than by type. I could never understand why hyperbeam used the attack stat seeing as it's a 'beam'. This is probably why they introduced a lot of alternatives for existing moves such as Giga Impact which is now the physical equivalent to Hyperbeam.

I don't have a job, and I hate school, but I'm in grade nine. The only extra circular things I do are Dance and soccer. Call not having a life like you would, I don't think I have one, some will agree, others won't.

I dunno. Don't they specify each Pokemon's gender in the game? I've seen quite a few more Gardevoir traps than I care to count.

As a dedicated Pokémon fan since 1999, I have to chime in.

I started playing Blue, although I really didn't know what I was doing until I got Yellow. Then I got Gold and Crystal and things started to click. After that, things went much better in Sapphire, Fire Red, and Emerald. You'll also notice I alternate versions between the dichotomous versions and always get the special version. Now I'm way behind, having never started Diamond/Pearl. I'm going to start those when I have time again.

How many hours did you folks take to finish the main storyline? Every time I've played since Sapphire I've always tried a 100 Hours Challenge, and it always takes me at least 75, but I always pass. I'm sure there's someone better than me at this.

Eh, do you mean only the first time playing through? Even with that in mind, 75 hours isn't even trying to go quickly o.o; I took my sweet time going through Emerald and finished in under 30 hours. If you want to see real speed, you should watch some speedruns!
Red version - 1:59, 1:26 with the bigger glitches and 2:39 done in a single session.
Yellow version - 2:28
Gold version - 4:15 (beats Red)
FireRed version - 2:49.09 (plus 5:16 for getting 60 dex and beating Elite Four r2).

No, really, I know school's important, but it just feels like I can do so many other things. I know I'm probably not smart enough to get a job, even though I feel that I can (but not one that's too social, I'm kind of shy in person until I get to know ya better...). Hell, at the arcade, I helped the guy fix the DDR machine, kind of, and I've never even seen the inside of one before.
If I were to drop out of school, I think I'd still take my math, science and music courses, because that's what I have fun in. My English and French suck ass, probably because I hate them, the english teacher is kind of bland, I can't understand the french teacher (even though I've been speaking french since grade 1), and I'm just lazy and tune out in those classes.

I have Yellow, Crystal, a broken Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond & Platinum. I finished the story on each but never caught all pokemon. I caught like most of them in diamond. I wish i could battle more but this stupid at&t wireless we have wont let my ds on. My ds always says doesnt support security settings.....

FaithSkullz: I don't have Wifi access, or we could do some stuff.

Chewphoria: I'd suggest getting a Normal or Fighting-type, and losing Mightyena. Dark attacks are all based on the SpAtk stat in Ruby, so the dog does more damage with even Normal attacks than his own same-type moves.

I got myself an alright team now in Silver. I have 2 HM slaves, a Krabby and a Paras, and also, my main 3 pokemon. I have no fear of people learning this and try to form pokemon teams against it, because, well, it's on an emulator.

get him to 45 so he can ditch quick attack for swift.
