I listen a lot of music that some people would consider extremely shitty; I'll be the first to admit that I like (certain) metalcore/deathcore bands. However, I can find really shitty metalcore/deathcore just as easily as I could find good metalcore/deathcore. Hell, I could do that just by going to Victory Records'/Rise Records' website.
I dislike most mainstream music, but I try to give everything a chance. I don't just give up on something because it's mainstream. A few of my favorite bands could technically be considered "mainstream", such as All Time Low, The Academy Is, and maybe even bands like Underoath.
Also, you haven't seen/heard shitty music until you've heard Brokencyde:

Every guitar part in the song is either CHUG CHUG CHUG or tremolo picking, lol. And the drummer can't even blast beat correctly.
