It's strange. There's a song from Time Hollow in DDRX but Time Hollow is on DS... ![]() |
How is that strange? Sure TimeHollow is on the DS, but the opening song for the game is also titled TimeHollow. And TimeHollow is a game from Konami, so why not (you should) add it and give a small preview of what's to come? And since TimeHollow was already released on the JP version of SN2, they may as well put it on the next US mix.
And uh... why did you post that in the DDR HP2 forum rather than the DDRX forum?

Because the DS and Wii are both from Nintendo.

But isn't Time Hollow from Konami? They do game crossovers in DDR all the time, Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, etc...
It's not that weird, the song Trust is from a Gainex Anime (Published by Konami).

I know that, but I think Clarke was thinking about the Nintendo connection.

Hmmm... I don't see a problem with that. It's not like the case with Sony and Nintendo though:
There was a problem with the Super Mario Bros. Theme on pop'n 14. It was on the AC but did not crossover the the CS counterpart in the PS2 version simply because Nintendo did not want one of it's original songs in a Sony console OR Sony did not want anything Nintendo on the PlayStation 2.

why we talking about this song anyway? not going to be on wii ver.
If Konami add back old songs to the wii v er, then there will not be much new songs since there will be only 50 to 52 songs. I wish there were more than 50-52 songs.

Unfortunately, Konami doesn't cater to the serious player crowd when developing a "spin-off" game. No Doubles, no speed mods, nunchuck gimmicks, etc. show that well.

But despite those best efforts, a majority of the HP charts are actually very good.

But without Speed modifyer, no groove radar and all features from DDR SuperNOVA before that make DDR HP like old DDR PS1. Very tricky to play when you faced with High Chaos Songs>_< .

Meh, I still practice the songs by playing the simfiles. That way I remember where the chaos is =P

I wonder why Konami now too focusing dancer and realistic stages than using Full Video BG for every songs and BG wallpaper ? For example DDR HP ,DDR HP 2, DDR SN 1, DDR SN2 and DDR X so far.

Sad, isn't it? They don't even use character animations like in pop'n music.
Maybe what they should do is show the character dancing on a stage and feature animations on the walls.

That's what I mused over once. Wouldn't it be an awesome compromise to have, say, a character and backing dancers grooving on the stage to the song and the relevant music video for the song playing on screens or TV's behind them?
Something like that could be nice and I'd love to see the videos for many old songs return.

Yeah, it's the perfect compromise. There are still videos tied to the songs, but the characters are dancing on a stage instead of just standing on nothingness.

Right. Dancer is optional, so if we don't like them we can remove them or not use them but every songs MUST have own video BG for regular mode because every video BG represented songs characteristic. If Konami still insist using Dancer and 3D stages, Konami must make another mode that means in Another mode(say Career mode) all songs formated with dancer and 3D stages, no matter what. IN Career mode, player can get new songs, unlock everything quickly but old feature still exist so we can get all stuff and hidden songs by overplayed many times. That would be nice if Konami give some optional accesories for dancer so we can custom by ourself.
