For me, I guess Public Feedback is okay as long as its "universal" feedback, and not "specific" one.

In practice, public feedback is usually done for each specific chart. This helps each step artist recognize the opportunities where they can improve. It discusses more about the foot placements and technicality of the charts (use of crossovers, spins, and rhythms). Having general feedback doesn't really accomplish much in this sense, and from what I've seen, we respect everyone's musical taste.

Yes, but make this file a banger because you need to catch up from missing round 1.

Is it too late to join? Looking at the new rules (I count 'em), I should be fine to participate, but I'd be at a disadvantage due to missing week 1.

Unfortunately, I did announce last week that week 1 would be the deadline for entries. You can always participate in the summer contest. Really sorry about that.

BPM: 64-128
Singles: Beginner 3 / Light 6 / Standard 9 / Heavy 12 / Challenge 13 (SA)

My take on a classic K-Pop song. One of these days, I will win one of these Battle Royales (hopefully, this one) and prove once and for all that I am, indeed, the best.

So basically, only 27 people (if I count correctly based on total charts on Week 1) who legit to round 1 ? and no add on even they already signed up ?
Im little confused here, since two different replies on one problem.

And how about this and next week, what if they already upload theirs, but miss at next week ?
Example : if they already upload Week 1 chart, but miss at 2nd or 3rd Week

The latest time to sign up for the contest as a whole was the entry deadline for round 1.

If you signed up before round 1 but did not submit an entry for round 1, you are in the contest but disadvantaged because of the lost week. That's what happens if you don't take action when you have the option to do so. Forcing people to take a week off because they did participate the prior week kind of defeats the purpose and could lead to extremely skewed scoring.

Since it's nearing the end of the week, I'll post feedback for every chart this week:

悪性ロリィタマキャヴェリズム (PenTA_)
- Good sync
- Good flow and consistently natural patterning
- Seems like a DDR official
- Would have liked to see the song's pianao runs covered with 16ths and jacks for a Lv17 chart; feels like a bit of a missed opportunity.
- The sets of jumps/arrows in places such as m18, m36-38 need to be earlier to match the vocals' rhythm
- A little repetitive, but patterning is good enough that it's somewhat excusable

Blinding Lights (Braeden47)
- Good sync
- Steps in intro seem unnecessary
- Flow works, but not much care to which way the player is facing (quite a few sections where the player faces left for extended periods
- Rhythm is inconsistent; I like the freezes in the intro but that's thrown away in the ending even though the musical elements are the same
- Abrupt cut and steps continue after the cut ends

Brain system (vonafroa)
- Good sync
- Nice rhythms except for middle section
- Patterning also good; you've been improving with every file
- Middle section 16ths don't really match the music; not sure why you overcharted it here
- I like the file aside from the middle section, good job

BurningMan (Pandemonium X)
- Good sync
- No complaints with the flow
- Would like the patterning to be more dramatic or less dramatic following the music a bit more; use jumps or freezes more to accent it
- Everything after the 16th drill seems quite fun
- 16th drill at m56 is really rude
- DSP looks like a 13, maybe a 12

Cycling! (DJSuperNOVA)
- Sync is ever so slightly late
- Audio is kinda blown out
- Doublestep at m15, m20, m62, m102, m106, m108
- Footswitches at m38, m46, m50, m86, m90 comes without much warning, since similar patterning that aren't footswitches accompany them
- Crossover at m74-75 is a little harsh and hard to get out of
- 16ths add good flair to the chart

Cyclone Strait (TonyAkita)
- Sync is REALLY off for some reason
- Rhythms are clean, but could go to the song a little more
- Nice flow and patterning
- Nice freeze spins and buildup
- Seems more like a 14 to me, and DSP an 8 or 9

Darkness (EmeraldX)
- Somewhat late sync
- Seems more like a 15 to me
- Great patterning and flow, nice patterning variety and difficulty buildup
- Freezes used adequately
- Plays out like a recent DDR original

Devilic Sphere (KexMiX)
- Good sync
- Flexible rhythms work really nicely to the charts' favor
- Nice use of freezes and jumps all around the charts; especially love the sequences around 1/3 through CSP
- Smooth crossovers
- ESP seems more like a 13; 16ths are too sparse to be called a 14
- Props to charting full SP and DP difficulties

Extasy (Nezemarth)
- Good sync
- Bare karaoke stepping not really my favorite; nice rhythms otherwise
- Good flow
- Nice attentiveness in patterning
- I like the intro and end with the 16ths
- Props to charting full SP and DP difficulties

GAIAPEX (blank)
- Good sync
- Smooth patterning and flow; although it could go to the song's elements more at times (e.g. the freezes in the middle)
- 8ths patterning starting from m25 really sexy and good
- I also like the stepjumps starting from m50 a lot
- Great crossovers in ESP
- Props to charting full SP and DP difficulties

Get Your Wish (K-Step)
- Good sync
- I don't get the point of the mines in the middle
- Good patterning otherwise, I appreciate that you charted the 32nds
- Good use of freezes, although a little inconsistent
- A little lopsided of a difficulty curve

Greenhorn (ledgam3r)
- Good sync
- Patterning looks very fun; lots of care put into it with symmetry + corresponding to lyrics + variety
- Good use of stops
- Nice sequences with crossovers and jumps
- A few places here and there where flow out of jumps feels a little weird (e.g. m27)
- Shock arrow chart is alright, not much else to say

Hey QT (chewi)
- Good sync
- Clean patterning, everything feels deliberate. But it feels a little boring
- Good flow
- I enjoyed the jump sequences

Himitsu Dial (VanEden)
- Good sync
- Bursts add an interesting source of difficulty, but a little abrupt and too hard? to be thrown in casually in a 14
- Nice alternation between 16ths and swing rhythms
- Very 'accurate' charting

HOT STUFF (SomethingRandom)
- Sync feels a little weird; song is probably live BPM
- Rhythms and flow pretty good for the most part
- Nothing really pops out to me though
- Improvement from past files

More (HDM300)
- Sync is good
- Audio is a little blown out?
- Creative patterning, such as the spins, but a little repetitive towards the end
- Clean and deliberate steps, which I appreciate

NANI THE FUCK!! (tsugaru7reveng)
- Good sync
- I can't fucking believe this was charted, and I can't even be angry cause this is actually a really good file
- Nice 8th patterning in the first half
- Great difficulty curve; it feels like care and consideration has been put into how this would play out on pad
- Reminiscent of modern DDR charting in the best ways

Neo-Aspect (clanner99)
- Very early sync
- 16ths in beginning feel uncalled for
- Why not extend the BPM gimmicks in the beginning to the whole buildup, or just remove them altogether?
- I would recommend using freezes in the section starting in m20
- 16ths in m60 onwards is an odd and extreme difficulty spike, you should watch out for things like that
- Significant flow issues; try testing your files with your feet or index fingers, only alternating them to figure out whether sections flow or not. Alternatively, use the 'dancing bot' function in ArrowVortex
- CSP should be a 14, ESP an 11

Ohayo! (ohaiimian)
- Good sync
- Clean patterning that goes to the song well
- Nice use of 16ths to go the samples
- Enjoyed the Tribe CSP-style stepjumps near the end

Piano Concerto (gameboy573)
- Good sync
- Enjoyable and natural patterning and rhythms; feels like a 2014-era DDR chart
- m34 jump transition is weird
- Jumps feel out of place to use at the end

Psychedelic Intelligence (ForcedNature)
- Good sync
- Good use of crossovers
- I like the bit at m20 with the jump, among other sections that force you to cross over
- Bits like m24's jacks or m75's 24ths accent the song well
- Rhythms seem a bit inconsistent in how they're used at times, like the middle, but otherwise very nice
- Would have liked to see a little more difficulty buildup
- ESP well done just like CSP, although I would rate it a 13. Reminiscent of Tech-Noid ESP
- I like that some of the same patterning is retained between both ESP and CSP
- Props to charting full SP and DP difficulties

Sharkbait (brunobg)
- Good sync
- Good gimmicks, although the parts with heavy effects and kicks didn't feel like they got enough
- Interesting choice to mark gimmicks with mines - is that how it's done in ITG tech?
- Could have used freezes, jumps, or more adventurous patterning a little more
- Feels a little reserved for a brunobg chart
- Great flow

Try Again (Maractus)
- Good sync
- Jumps and freezes accent the song well
- Some inconsistent implementation of footswitches
- Not really a fan of the slowdown with the shock arrows
- Illegal (for DDR) freeze placement at m51

Ultimatum (shortysnmn)
- Good sync
- Liking the use of shock arrows a lot; very consistent and sensible
- Good footspeed practice for Lv13
- Maybe the patterning during the shock arrow sections could be a little more difficult to balance things out
- I think ESP is more of a 10 than a 9 due to the mines and the overall use of 8ths

UNO (Oni-91)
- Can you start files not on m0 please
- Enjoyable patterning; good kind of karaoke stepping
- Would've liked to see the 16ths in the song a little more
- Unsure about whether the 12ths are accurate or not

Wing of Hearts (Mr.Music)
- Sync feels a little bit off at times
- Audio is blown out
- Overall good flow; good use of patterning like jacks or spins to augment the song
- Middle section, as well as about half of the climax keeps the player facing the same way for a while
- Good rhythms

In return, I'd like to request feedback on my file (Cosmic Explorer), as well as my file next week (Particle Arts)
