DDR II isn't nearly as good as people act like it is. HP3 is the real triumph of the Wii titles.

3 was good because it was a kinda stripped down X2. 5 was choc full of bangers though.

First impressions of the gold cabinet, courtesy of FUNGAH:
"panels are super weak, probably from not being broken in. got 5 pad greats on romancing layer and couldn’t even combo boss rush. timing is EARLIER than white cabs. my gaze is lower compared to any other cab style. lowering speed by .25x is probably wise."

Console releases are fine enough, but Stepmania has infinitely more content available to it, is the point I was making.
though honestly I'm not a good person to talk to about console releases because my only real experience with console releases that I remember is the US DDR Extreme which was horribad.

I'm totally agree. DDR II tried to be similiar to the arcade but the result was not so good. Many things were meh...Honestly, I consider that HP3 is the best in DDR wii titles too.

But if KONAMI were to release a new console game, I would prefer if they went the same route as DDR II did.

I find it interesting Konami pretty much played coy to the whole leak thing, and was all "Whaaat? Nah, it's not gonna be called A20, we're not that stupid! It's gonna be DDR 20th Anniversary."
And then 2 days later they're all, "lol jk it really is A20."
Anyways, updated the title of the thread.
