I remember my computer teacher in High School (Mr. Bush) had one of those stupid things which let him see everyone's computer screen on his screen. He decided one day to show his screen on the projector for an entire class period to keep us in line...or something? Anyways, half the people in the class decided to go into MS Paint and draw pictures of Mr. Bush in front of a giant rainbow with the text "Mr. Bush is gay". He just stood up and gave everyone an evil eye so then all the kids started printing out there pictures on the classroom printer. It was really funny.

You mean projector?
Wha..? That was kinda rude, but still funny.

I have a teacher like that also, likes to show off that his projector is working. He uses projector excessively.

pandemonium x:
My school's wifi limits browsing to youtube (or any other bandwidth intensive [if there's anything else in that definition other than facebook and friendster which shockingly doesn't apply] websites) for 7:30 am - 9:30 am and 4:30 am - 7:30 am, and even then proxies are allowed (I use Btunnel, I can't play videos and fecked up language when on anonymouse). While it says that chatting is illegal, I (thru ZIV) and facebook users are violators of this rule. And visiting plus downloading any form of "mature" content (I've only tried fanfics with this one).
In 3rd year high school, the teacher's computer had software wherein they can see all the desktops on the entire lab. When its time to do some labwork, she'd broadcast the "feed" on the projector. If you are found doing something else (as in anything instead and along with the activity), they'll freeze your screen with the color pink with the words "We are sorry!"
Parentheses (brackets[?] maybe, and I did it again) within parentheses, FTW!

We had something like that on all the computers in the school, but the screen went black with "Eyes to the front please" written on it. It didn't block sound though, which we found out back in 2008 when getting every PC in the computer room to simultaneously play McRoll.

Now playing Soul Calibur IV for the first time in six months. If any of you want to beat my ass, this is probably the best chance you're going to get.

Oh wow. My school doesn't have that sort of technology where they can they can see your screen from theirs. Our computers are pretty outdated actually. The only good computers we have are in the room where Media Arts and the Computer course take place. They actually didn't kid around there. They're like 2.6GHz with 19 inch widescreen LCD monitors. Such good computers, but you can't do anything with them >_>
I still remember the day someone hacked in and put in Project 64. Everyone was like "OMG N64 games!". It was the one folder on the central system that files were allowed to be put into. Me and my friends used it to transfer things from time to time.
Too bad the stupid system now is so polished now, your blinded from boredom. When I get free time, I have to depend on my flash drive to provide entertainment.
Oh did I mention they blocked certain searches too? If you search some like, I don't know, Playstation 3 on Google, it will block it there. I find it pretty fail because I could easily make a typo on purpose and it will show me the results for the corrected version. For example, if I want to find proxies, instead of typing "proxy", I type "proxxy" and it shows me results for proxy instead.
Our school also just got FireFox (yay) and I was able to go to the Add On site and look for Proxy addons. The security we have is smart in some cases, but it has gaping holes of stupidity embedded.

oni-91:lol, wanted to try but integrated speakers on dell cpu cases are inferior as hell.
kkioni: In the engineering building, we have 6 computer labs. 3 of those labs are running windows 98 and some terminals are missing keyboards, no units, and all sorts of problems. One lab uses Windows XP, but is a virusville. Later on, another lab opened up which has Windows vista business on weak graphics hardware (no aero), but UAC is being an asshat when you want to copy your work to a flash disk. And the newly opened one has Windows 7 Professional (with aero) and UAC .isn't nagging when I transfer files to and from my flash disk.
All the computers are running Dell hardware and the win 98 labs do not support flash disks.
I was initially envious of the labs at the Business Administration/Arts and Sciences Building, as they have Windows XP Home Edition on Acer hardware that allows flash disks at the back port and have bundled wallpapers, media player skins and installers. But then the vista lab came.

I've never understood why people, businesses, and institutions like to buy Dell computers, especially since I've had nothing but problems with them. Every school I've attended since 2002 had Dells running Windows XP (minimum SP1a). Then I read this article. Apparently, Dell knew some of their computers had faulty parts installed in their business machines.
In other news, I bought Blur on Saturday for 1/3 of the retail price, thanks to Best Buy's sale (game was $40), and Activision's coupon ($20 off), for a grand total of $23.44 after sales tax. Three friends and I raided the Best Buy for the last four copies. For a game that's somewhat like a crossover between Project Gotham Racing and Mario Kart, it's actually good. I also bought the Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts/Viva Pinata Spring 2010 Arcade bundle for $20.

So apparently, I just got banned from the ZIv Tinychat room.
I can't imagine why. I was just broadcasting a picture of this rabbit chick from Touhou jamming a carrot into her vag. Nothing that normal people would find objectionable.

Awesome. Better early than late though.
Just after playing DDR, really tired... felt like probably I'd be better off if I didn't use all 17 credits in one go...

Oh wow 17 consecutive rounds of DDR? You must of had something to drink. I could never last that long even with a drink. I haven't played DDR in ages actually. I've gotten into playing Lunatic Rave a lot. Even Stepmania is starting to fade away.
I wonder if I am any good still
In other news, I am really content today, because I beat a record in TF2 as Spy. 33 points with 18 kills all in one life
Brings it up to my 3rd best in my class rankings
