The Pokémon Thread

Well I cleared the 3rd level of the Black Tower. So lets see if I can make it to the top.

I'm going to be building a lesser (no Talonflame, no Megas) team for Rotation purposes soon.

Sylveon's got exceptional bulk. The problem is you need to find an Anticipation Eevee with Hyper Voice (i.e. Pokemon Bank) for it to be any good.

While that would be good for revenge killing it really wouldn't do much more than significantly damage or take out one poke and that's about it. After that, you're out of options. Hyper Voice (90 / Normal / Special) + Pixilate is a lot better in that regard for reliability and not having to worry about taking Sylveon out immediately after the kill. If you switch in on something that resists Fairy typing attacks and attempt to use Retaliate, which is physical and not special, you're going to have a hard time.

And if you do have something like that with Hyper Voice, I want an egg of it like now.

I've found my AR DS, now I should be able to obtain that Skitty.

Nope, you'll have to make one in B/W2 with Hyper Voice then transport it.

Well I did it. I found an AR Code that allowed me to get Skitty. So now that it has been transfered to Black 2 and I've now seen all 300 Pokemon and obtained the permit to go to the preserve.

I fought chewi in a heated triple battle and I won without him damaging my team at all. Too fast for you, bro. lost without so much as taking one of his team members with me.

I fought Paper Sak in a rainy triple battle and I learned that with the power of friendship, I was able to overcome her monstrous team of special sweepers lost as well. I did confirm that Leech Seed affects the pokemon directly and not the spot that it was thrown at. I also confirmed that Leech Seed sends the absorbed HP to the same spot instead of allocating it to the remaining ally.

I can confirm that my nuzlocke team sucks

Nice Toxicstall for Umbreon, regardless of loss. You're really lucky though that he wasn't carrying Belly Drum on his Azumarrill or Magic Guard on his Clefable though. You might want to consider Protect if you're going to do that next time. Not only will Toxic eat away that much quicker, but you set yourself up for less heat in the long run if you're going to do stall tactics (especially with Leftovers). Beats out using Curse at any rate, since you're already a defensive mon and quite frankly I can wall break it with Swords Dance use and consistently pounding on it with Brave Bird (which I did to a random passerby that used Curse with their Umbreon earlier).

Umbreon's very underrated and can be very annoying. If you seek to make it more universal than stalling, Wish support with HP investment isn't a bad idea either.


Better offensive. Not bad.


Again, nice stall. This time it won it for you. Really surprised he didn't have EQ or something as a direct counter for Dark typing, though...


Not a bad fight here either. Not sure I would've taken a STAB Play Rough to the face with an Umbreon, though.

Acquaintance (now Friend) against me in Singles. Not a bad fight. I had another very impressive fight from earlier from a random passerby but he saw fit to quit right at the win fadeout. Very nice fight that one too and I was pretty bummed that he decided it wasn't worth sharing.

Haa, I feel like a guinea pig or something. ;P When I got your challenge I wasn't sure who the eff it was, but I pppprobably should've pieced together the Charmeleon and missing Yveltal before battle.

Can't believe Umbreon can take that many STAB Fairy hits. o_o

I bred a Quagsire, and although it is possibly the cutest Pokemon in all of Pokemon, Milotic is still better at tanking the same hits without even trying, I think. xP Kinda wanna use Quagsire some before boxing it; haven't made great usage of Unaware yet. Torn between Yawn and Swagger for the last move slot. And Electric immunity is fun with my friend having a speed demon Jolteon. Conclusion: make an entire box full of good Pokemon and seasonally change team around.
