My random notes:

- Damn, Jupiter got removed? Now we don't have all the planets... I guess if it was a license, it'd explain why it never came along to US/EU CS versions.

- Dafuq @ all these challenge charts for CS crossovers. I'm curious to see them if they have those difficulties. I know there was no challenge difficulty in any of the Wii games minus DDR II, but some of these -were- in DDR II, if I recall.

- Pssst, Konami: Did you forget murmur twins and Kind Lady have challenge charts from Uni3?

"Let's get this movin'"
Maybe they KDE-J doesn't like that challenge stepcharts.
Its more "interesting" if they puts the remaining challenge songs from MAX 2 (Kind Lady Interlude, Look to the Sky Trance Mix and Do it Right 80's Electro Mix) on the arcade, in the MAX 2 folder. Evil Puppy
-
I will miss Júpiter, because it was my favorite song from Grand Cross. (you know, the 2 courses from SN2)
-
All the CS songs are from either first or second Hottest Party... lot of transplants here.

By the way, where's my present?

The theme design is too simple. Screen Gameplay and Results are the same from X3 with different judgement fonts. Dancing stages are the same from DDR X/X2. The failed screen is too simple. The only "new" thing in the design is the Select Music screen.

I Think they Will Update that later in the future for reference. It does use some of the same fonts and stuff, but maybe they're going to update it soon, or adjust it for appeal...

"My paw is incompurrable!"
*watches Caramelldansen vid*

Now why on earth did the announcer say 100 combos at 200 combos?

Other than that, stepchart is fun but they could just use short streams on the U-u-umauma part. It suits better than jumps.

The announcer doesn't count the goods in the combo. Too lazy to quote one of the previous posts.

I guess a question I have to clear up my misunderstanding of this whole thing is: Are you bothered that it's too similar because this AC release is not part of the X-Series?

note that it's the same case as X3 but i wonder why people are only complaining now. not everything needs to be changed.

(also i like simple things better)

and yeah wtf is with all these challenge charts, it's like those 2ndMIX songs

Just out of curiosity, are there any new Dancemania licenses?

"Give me a steady beat."
yindesu is stalking me -_-...

None of the dancers have new outfits, disregard. The details of their costumes do look more defined.

I found rival data and high scores. On the song select screen tap 00 on the 10-key and it brings everything up altogether. Personal best, machine top 3, and score comparison during play.

There is nothing from Dancemania unless Caramelldansen was in Hime Trance or something.

And yindesu is right, the pads on the new machines don't light up.

... Zero had like 9000 details to begin with I would know because that cosplay suit almost killed me, how does he look any different? o_0
Fff, really should've known it was too good to be true...
To avoid making a boring post...

at least we have a kors k boss song
that isn't really a difficult boss song but it's cute and catchy.

Watched the Caramelldansen video. It's uh... repetitive, but if it's a song they expect everyone to play, guess that explains why it's so easy. American CS licenses all over again. Tongue The jumps could've been cute but adjacent corner jumps feel weird. xD;

I'm loving all these new Challenge charts since HP2 was my first DDR game ever, but now I'm kind of sad that they'll most likely never appear on CS...Sad

DDRMAX2 was a recolor of MAX, and Extreme was a re-color of MAX2.

Did we complain? Wait, ZIV didn't even exist yet.

Dont forget, SuperNOVA 2 is SuperNOVA 1 only with different songs, and no one bitched about that. I think even if ZIv had been around for the MAX/EXTREME AC, no one would have made a big deal about them. In this case, I think the issue is just that the new DDR AC isnt called X4.

I don't think people would be complaining (as much) about recycling graphics if this wasn't the last DDR to be released and marketed as some amazing rebirth to the series.
Then again, I wasn't around for Extreme, so maybe that argument is invalid...

It's not a game-defining aspect, but when the song list is actually good, where else are we to be critical? ;P
