Wow, the unlock on the Yellow event is getting faster and faster. By now there is only between 2/5 and 1/4 of the Another gauge left. If all goes well, A will be unlocked tomorrow night

IIDX music has been extremely samey for a long time. Part of the reason I just can't get into it these days the same way I got into 5key. beatmania had some serious variety. Seems like in the interest of having hard songs, they have pushed out ballads, reggae, hip-hop, minimal, ambient, and even the bizarre, wacky stuff that was in beatmania, since those songs will never be as hard as OMGHARDCORE.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
Yeah, almost everything is 170+ BPM now. I miss stuff like You Were the One, おおきなこえで, One of a Kind etc. There's still some good stuff here and there, but I'm much more inclined to listen to DDR/jubeat/RB stuff.

"SOUND VOLTEX -BOOTH-"

You know what I missed? Low-key songs that sounded awesome and provided variety to the game. Once in a while after you get tired of all the hardcore (even the good songs like New Lights), you'd want to go for something that's a little more light. In this style the only song that felt like this (in the default songlist) was connective.

One thing I also noticed about this style is that I couldn't find a song that went below 120-ish BPM in constant speed (YELLOW FROG from Steel Chronicle doesn't count) with that kind of mood. We got some of that in the pre-L.E.D. games, such as pop songs by DJ Yoshitaka (Darling my LUV, Stay my side etc), piano-based instrumentals by dj TAKA (earth scape, The Last Song, Flowers for Albion etc), and that one Terra song in DJT (Promise for Life).

"Gimme a mothaf----n' break!"
Yeah, original beatmania had tons of variety. I prefer most of those soundtracks over the recent IIDX games. And in regards to 5KEY beatmania, I seriously think it would be nice if some of those past contributors could somehow make surprise appearances on tricoro. Of course a few of them are a part of FLASH CUBE now in some way...but if it were up to me, I would have a lot of them come back.

"BEEJAY REVEL A"
Eh, I personally thought Resort Anthem had a very good selection of music. Though I will certainly agree that Lincle and Tricoro are a bit limited in the variety department. Of course I still have favourites in each of them, on the other hand. 24th Century Boy and Spinning Around are ones that come to mind.

I think what would really spruce up Tricoro's song list is bringing in some of the 5 key transplants that were sprinkled across the CS titles. Heck, maybe even bring in some new 5 key transplants.

Well, mnemoniq was brought to tricoro, so other 5key songs might follow suit (if Konami still has the rights for them of course, e.g. no feeling of love).

"yes, the whole earth~"
I think it all started sounding a bit same-ish with Empress (maybe even before that, idk). There was a wackiness to past soundtracks that was lost when all this hardcore was being made. Or maybe I liked the Erasermotor-sounding hardcore from back then. I don't know, there's a lot of things missing with some of the new songs that's been dropped in favor of a harder sound.

Though the ones that stand out for me in general with this soundtrack, to name a few, are Neonlights, Praludium, S!ck, and everything by Nekomata Master (proof of the existence comes to mind), so it's not all that bad.

Tricoro started with such a great soundtrack and I still think it's a good soundtrack so far, it's just it seems once the game came out , the songs just got worse and worse with a few exceptions. There's no telling if this is the end or not so I'll wait and see before I make any final judgement on Tricoro's full soundtrack.

well at least volume 1 has a solid OST.

Volume 2 is not on par with volume 1 for me atm.

Yes!
There will be another event later! Once you finish yellow, Rapika flees, and there is a message 'But is this really the last battle'

Apparently the SPA has 1988 notes and the DPA has 2120.

That wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be.

Then again I'm really bad at judging difficulty until I actually try the chart.

It's just like how the song itself seems like a mix of Uchuu Sensou and Nagisa, the chart feels like this too. Streams like Uchuu Sensou and scratch+walls like Nagisa.
Overall, the chart does feel slightly easier than Nagisa (I'm unable to clear any of those though, so I may not be the best to say that)

Also, lol Rupika getting the final hit >.>

as written on front page:
1. Music Select BGM campaign. (June 5th~)
2. Omega ATTACK angel cards. (June 12th~)
3. "Walking tour" ranking starts (travel around the country and play on different machines to up the province/arcade count) (June 12th~)
4. Our Space Wars final chapter (June 23rd~)

Also, Our Space Wars bosses will be revived so you can farm dellars. Defeating them again gives you even more dellars.

Oh god, I first saw it through Goli's twitter, and I was pretty excited to hear about BGM finally coming.
Then I go to the website...Our Space War Returns!
**** you Konami! Why that event again! Please at least make the new bosses being like Rapika (defeating it with everyone in the country, not only the arcade you registered to)
Though were is it said that previous bosses are revived for farming? I didn't saw it.

Ah, and I was saving up on dellars so I could buy BGM when they would be released...turns out you unlock it by playing some songs (corresponding to the artists doing the BGM), so in the end I have tons of dellars for "nothing"

calm the fuck down, you're venting in a site where less than 10% of the users have access to latest BEMANI so there's not many people who can relate to you.

someone else translated the things so I don't know:
"basically is just all previous bosses revive for those shops who finished, so that can get more dellar, also defeat the bosses again will have an even bigger dellar bonus... no new content is confirmed yet for the revival of the space war event, though the word "final chapter" replacing the "returns" word in the pdf may hint another last boss to end the whole story..."

I hope the bgm event is a bunch of previous bgms made into full songs

Having a playable version of lurking mission would be awesome
